"... we don't want to be bullied any more by leaders..." ---- Dortmund anarchist
movements in the German Empire and the 1920s ---- Not much is known about thehistory of anarchist movements in Dortmund. This is astonishing, because fromsmall conspired groups in the empire, which adhered to the "propaganda ofaction", to the mass movement of anarcho-syndicalists in the early 1920s withover 20,000 members, they have repeatedly intervened in the fortunes of our city. Not only did they try to socialize the "mature industry" and to implement the6-hour shift in mining in "direct action", but they still had the majority of theworks councils at many collieries up to the mid-1920s. They also tried toorganize the housewives, had children and youth groups and were strong in theircultural activities and much more,By the early 1930s, it had melted down to a few hundred activists. That's why itactually takes more than one evening to name and discuss the successes andespecially the failures of the last 130 years. So this evening only a roughoverview of the first decades of these anti-authoritarian efforts can be given. And maybe arouse curiosity about "more".https://agdo.blackblogs.org/2023/01/02/dortmunder-anarchistische-bewegungen-im-kaiserreich-und-den-1920er-jahren/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
