Dear friends,
It's time to let Salekh and Ismail know that they are not forgotten.
My name is Lucy and I work with NC SOS Crisis Group, a group helping LGBT+ people and their families in danger in the Northern Caucasus.
Salekh and Ismail, two young LGBT+ people who were detained and tortured in Chechnya, are among those people my group is trying to help.
Although it's clear that their criminal case was fabricated, the siblings were sentenced to seven and six years in separate penal colonies. This means they're in penal detention, and they're forced to do hard labor.
It's hard to imagine how desperate and lonely they must feel. But YOU can show them that they haven't been forgotten by sending them a message of love and solidarity.
Together with All Out and MyPostcard, we came up with a way to have your personal message delivered to them on real, printed postcards. And you can do it right now, from your phone or computer.
Chechnya is one of the worst regions in the world for LGBT+ people: torture and "honor killings", when relatives are encouraged to kill family members suspected of being LGBT+, are common.
Relatives of Salekh and Ismail were encouraged to murder them.
But over 100,000 All Out members jumped into action. The publicity and their support is what has helped keep them alive.
Now they need to know they are not alone, so they can have the strength to face the hardships of the penal colonies and keep their hope alive.
Send them your solidarity postcard and show them the world is by their side.
Thanks for going All Out,
Lucy, NC SOS Crisis Group
