That struggle is neither more nor less than thehistoric struggle of the working class. We are beginning the third decade of a century that was born full of outburstsand crises. Territorial, social and economic conflicts have gone through and aregoing through the peoples of the world and of Latin America. It is seeneverywhere that there is an underground fire about to break out. But, in the midst of such brilliance, oblivion of the working class seems torule. Atomized by precariousness and reconverted by industry, little by little weworkers were diverting our gaze to such an extent that talking about the workingclass seemed to be an old thing. The world is still split in two. Above or below all the differences built aroundthe thousand contradictions of interests, the most radical of all subsists andpersists: the opposition between exploiters and exploited. With the productivematrix that puts private interest above common benefit and organizes economicproduction by virtue of that interest, concentrating wealth in the owners ofcapital and productive effort in the dispossessed of everything, with thisstructure there is no horizon towards a Egalitarian society. And without thathorizon, without a project towards an egalitarian society, there is no way to putan end to the ignominy, the injustice, the exploitation. The workers' struggle without social transformation is as conservative as thefantasy of some social transformation without workers' struggle.Since the world is the world there has been poverty and wealth. Capitalismexplains the modern way in which that injustice unfolds. And also since the worldis the world, the most diverse struggles destined to transform society exist andpersevere. The workers' struggle is the modern form in which this demand forjustice unfolds.Any gender and any ethnicity, any height, weight and measurement, any culture andreligion: the capitalist machine does not care about identity but about profit.Any social prejudice is useful to push the salary towards the ground and maximizethe benefit that the employer obtains from the work of others. And all the socialadvances obtained by the popular struggle result in new strategies for theconcentration of wealth. The capitalist matrix is one and it flows; it has thepower of adaptation turning everything into merchandise.Modernity exploded into a thousand identities. The universality of theanti-capitalist struggle and proletarian internationalism seem to havedisappeared behind a world of autonomous struggles that express themselvessegmented and localized in their own uniqueness. The best trick the devilinvented is to make us believe that he doesn't exist. Capitalism, like a skilledillusionist, becomes invisible in the midst of so much identity and easily hidesbefore us, in view of a world that naturalizes plunder in the social institutionwe call work. The question is much simpler than it seems. Those of us who live from our workare structurally opposed to those who live from our work. They own the capital,we own almost nothing. Everything else is to curl the curl to hide behind athousand truths the most important of all lies. We can be what we want to be aslong as the productive machine assimilates the changes and continues to function. It is a social metabolism that swallows the common effort and allocates it to theluxury and benefit of those who appropriate what is ours. And our thing is,always work.Work, put your body and mind into the productive task, in the mechanism oftransformation of matter into merchandise and do it in exchange for a salary.Live on salary, die for it. It does not matter if there is direct employment, covert or open precariousness or if the new communication tools allow the remotehiring of self-employed workers. Selling labor power in a market governed by theowners of capital: that is work, and that is called capitalism. Is the same effort dedicated to the common well-being, socializing the productand the productive effort, communally, the same as this regime of subordinationin which our effort is exchanged for a salary, always insufficient for the worse, and living by luck and truth? in a save yourself who can? The productive effortdoes not deserve to be called work if it is oriented in solidarity to the commonwelfare. If we workers do not understand this, we are doomed to go back furtherand further. The workers' organization must be the organization of the working class, anelemental action in self-defense. Defend ourselves from the pressure of capitalon work that is expressed in the fall in wages, in the precariousness of housing,in the quantity and quality of food, in the management of the territory and theexploitation of common resources. Defend ourselves from the impact of the mostbrutal concentration of wealth, inequality in the distribution of effort and theconcentration of profit. And it is well known that the best way to defendourselves is to eliminate the causes and not fight eternally against each of theeffects. The labor organization requires a clear direction towards the totaleradication of the social division through capitalist exploitation. Anyconciliation with capitalism is a direct affront against the working class. Thepath is only one. The interests of the working class, our interests, begin withimprovements in working conditions and culminate in the eradication of the causesof economic inequality, in the abolition of capitalism, that is, in the socialrevolution.https://organizacion-obrera.fora.com.ar/2023/05/01/trabajar//_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
