Lina and her co-defendants have been sentenced. Today in Dresden they were found
guilty of forming a criminal organization and carrying out several organizedattacks on fascists in Saxony and Thuringia. A high prison sentence of more thanfive years was issued against Lina as the alleged ringleader. Her allegedcomrades-in-arms are also said to go to jail for several years. ---- Theanti-fascists were therefore condemned because they themselves are said to havebecome active against the fascists, who dominate large areas in Saxony and havebuilt up a violent hegemony there. The fascists, whom this state protects againand again and whose actions it looks the other way.The verdict was preceded by incomparable media and political agitation on allchannels. Lina and her comrades-in-arms were presented as terrorists andsentiment was raised against a new "RAF". For us it is clear that the state doesnot determine the means in the anti-fascist struggle. To defend yourself againstfascists, many means are effective and they are all legitimate. We thereforedeclare our unbreakable solidarity with all those convicted in these proceedings.Our thoughts are with you and your comrades today.The problem is class justiceThe verdict is part of a wave of repression that the German state has developedin recent years. Police and assembly laws are being tightened across federalstates. Existing tools of repression such as §129 are increasingly being usedagain - whether against Turkish communists, Kurdish activists, anti-fascists or,most recently, the last generation. Not so many revolutionary leftists have beenin German jails for years.The reason for this is not simply reactionary ideologies and personnel in thesecurity agencies. Countless revelations about right-wing networks in the police,secret services and the German armed forces have shown that they exist. All ofthis has to be taken seriously.But the problem runs much deeper. The state and its authorities exist primarilyfor one purpose: to protect the prevailing social system. That's what they werecreated for in the first place. The Office for the Protection of the Constitutionshould recognize possible resistance at an early stage. The police should fighthim on the street and harass activists. And the judiciary should ensure withjudgments that soon no one dares to defend themselves. Resistant social movementsare to be pulled out of their teeth and revolutionary structures are to besmashed. In view of the worsening social crises, the upsurge in various socialstruggles and the gradual increase in revolutionary organization, the state ispursuing this goal with increasing severity.A "fair" procedure should therefore never exist and cannot exist at all. Whatjudged there was the German class justice system, which cannot accept that peoplecome together to defend themselves against the fascists in an organized manneroutside the framework of state laws. In the end, the prevailing law remains thelaw of the rulers.Solidarity is our weapon, building an anti-fascist mass movement is the goalInstead of appealing to the rule of law, we must recognize that only our ownresistance to repression can avert or at least cushion its effects. We can onlytrust ourselves and our solidarity is our strongest weapon. It is good that thissolidarity is now being carried onto the streets in many cities.This solidarity will also be important in the coming months. By collectingdonations, organizing the public and raising awareness of repression in our owncities and structures.But it is also clear that the anti-fascist movement is still far too weak toorganize more effective forms of solidarity. To do this, we need to break out ofthe confines of scene politics. A much broader anti-fascist movement is neededthat unites various forms of anti-fascist resistance on all levels of society -street, work, neighborhood, university, school, leisure - in solidarity with eachother. Today we have to work all the more intensively to build up this movement.Freedom for Lina and everyone else. Down with class justice.
