Transformative justice - able to act against interpersonal violence in our
communities without police & justice ---- Please do not wear sheep's woolclothes! ---- How can we collectively deal with the various forms of violence inour communities without calling the police? Why are we still unable to act indealing with interpersonal violence after all these decades of struggles againstdiscrimination and oppression? ---- We consider it essential not only to use ourrejection of the police and the judiciary as sticker motifs, but also to developa practice that seeks and develops alternatives. We want to find a way of dealingwith violence in our contexts that is not based on the principles of criminallogic and state violence. We want to take responsibility for the circumstancesthat make interpersonal violence possible in our communities. Therefore, in this workshop we will think about racist and other forms ofoppression together with criticism of the state, criminal logic and theprevailing understanding of violence. On this basis, we will presenttransformative justice as an alternative concept for dealing with violence in ourcommunities and put it into practice with you. We will not explain a perfectplan, but present existing concepts, exchange ideas and experiences and encourageyou to think about the topic yourself. We want to start working together in our own surroundings to be able tocounteract interpersonal violence without the punishing state. Let's not just dofirefighting policy when there are abuses. Instead, put an end to thecircumstances that make these violent conditions possible in the first place!People without prior knowledge are welcome. We will not only use simple language, but will explain difficult terms as best as we can. You can interrupt us at anytime and discuss with us what you need for the content to be accessible to you.The workshop is in German spoken language.
