SROV Capital strongly repudiates the repression of social protest deployed by the
Jujeño government in recent days. It is one more episode of the violentfascination of the repressive forces of the State violating even its own laws. All police forces, at the provincial or national level, kidnap, torture, murderand disappear people. We find the increasingly repressive trend of the Stateextremely worrying. ---- We also repudiate the attempt to give constitutionalstatus to the repression of roadblocks, institutionally signing the promise torepress popular resistance to the mismanagement and rampage of the rulers. ----We also repudiate the model of economic development based on the extraction ofresources for export behind the backs of popular needs and destined for acapitalist robbery that seeks an infinite concentration of wealth. This modelexplains the intention of the Jujuy government to restrict social protest to thepoint where it does not interfere with lithium mining. We understand that theintentions of China and the US to take raw materials to sell us their industrialsurplus need clear roads, and find local accomplices willing to clear those roadswith jail and bullets. The entire history of the Argentine region shows that the primarization ofeconomic activity is contrary to popular interests. The Argentine economy isentirely built on the sale of land, whether through agricultural activity, through oil exploitation or through mining. These activities seriously harm thepopulation through the plundering of the working class, a deep concentration ofwealth, the destruction of the environment, the desertification of soils and theprecariousness of productive work.Extractivism is ruinous for the population and has local, regional and globalsignificance. It's not just a Jujuy issue. The situation in the Argentinenorthwest is linked to a regional strategy, and will not change with thedeparture of the government of Gerardo Morales. Extractivism is a State policy,as demonstrated by the parliamentary unanimity reached in Jujuy and the promotionof the mining, oil and agricultural industry in all the provinces that have theseresources throughout our history and throughout the territory of the Argentineregion. It is essential to interrupt this model with a radical transformation ofthe productive system. It is imperative to advance in the workers' organization to face the economic, ecological and social dispossession that unfolds from capitalist greed and Stateviolence. Without the solidarity of the working class, it is impossible to stopextractivism, just as it will be impossible to advance in the socialtransformation that is imposed with the force of necessity.Let's not let the political fanfare and the electoral spectacle distract us fromthe need to deepen the resistance to extractivism throughout the region and thedevelopment of popular economic strategies that activate the capacity of theworking class to overcome the pitfalls of a capitalism in decline.Resist, fight and organize. The emancipation of the workers will be the work ofthe workers. Let Morales go, let them all go.http://capital.fora.com.ar_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
