As the Osnabrück research collective recently published, the AfD city
meets regularly for information evenings in the Pontospark. ---- Whatshould seem like a political chat at the regulars' table is rather anattempt to make fascist politics and ideology socially acceptable(again). Right-wing people, those open to the law, but also people fromthe middle-class should be addressed. Racism, anti-feminism, generallybackward-looking and anti-emancipatory content find space, politicalactors and interested parties network. ---- The fact that the AfD nowdares to hold such evenings in our city again cannot be accepted. It isalso unacceptable that there are bar and restaurant operators who maketheir rooms available for this purpose. A protest must be organizedagainst this. Because: Neither the AfD, nor the visitors* of theirinformation evenings and just as little the operators* of the PontosPark want a lot of attention from a civil society that names thereactionary garbage placed there and organizes protests!This is exactly our task. We don't feel like election results like inSonneberg or other regions and places in the republic where right-winghate speech and fascist ideology spread by the AfD is rampant. On theone hand, because it doesn't just stop at words and this ideologybecomes reality in the event of attacks, attacks, etc. On the otherhand, and this is particularly noteworthy in Osnabrück at the moment:the successes and growth of the AfD and the resulting infiltration ofits reactionary positions and dangerous ideas do not happen overnight.For far too long they were played down, their danger and their extremeright-wing ideas underestimated by politicians and the bourgeoispress... and the time was missed to clearly name reactionaries as suchand to ensure that potential voters and supporters* united do notapproach this party for fear of social ostracism.If protesters stand together and as a group at the places where the AfDgather and loudly articulate their displeasure and rejection towardsthem, those close to the AfD and those interested in informationevenings think twice about taking this "walk of shame" to the locationwant to give.
