The work "The final cut", his last album with Pink Floyd, was in fact
the reworking of the artist's mourning for his father, a British soldier
who died on the beaches of Anzio, under a bombing raid by the Luftwaffe,
during the Second World War .
But there are many ghosts around the world today; John Lennon and Yoko
Ono singing "Give peace a chance", the Bob Dylan song that blew in the

The press, the news, opinion makers, influencers (who sell not only
restaurants and underwear, but also opinions and common sense, which
translate into visions of the world) are also silent... everything flows
on a sea of silence . And nothing has nothing as a soundtrack. Music is
never detached from the contemporary reality in which it manifests
itself and songwriters and poets are by no means extraneous to their own
time. And here is indeed "The Lockdown Session", the acclaimed album by
Roger Waters, in which the artist masterfully reinterprets some of the
most popular songs of all contemporary music and which are part of the
Floyd repertoire. Here is "Comfortably numb", which opens with acid
rain, thunder, images of urban desolation, of war, with
ghostly buildings that stand out on the horizon.
What is Ukraine? Rome in '43? Berlin in '45, or the Taiwan of tomorrow?
 From the song, and it is not known whether by artistic choice or out of
spite, the singer has eliminated all Gilmour's guitars and everything
runs smoothly, gloomy and shining towards the precipice.
In place of her partner's Fender, the terrible and majestic song of a
soloist, who seems to reproach the world with all its senselessness, its
desolating inhumanity, its lack of love for creation, its horror. Italy
was the seat of the most important pacifist movement in Europe, which
