peaceful rally denouncing racism and police brutality served as a green light for
a new unleashing of police violence against protesters. While the demonstration,
bringing together thousands of people, took place in peace, the police arrested 2
members of the Truth and Justice Committee for Adama, including Yssoufou, a
brother of Adama and Assa Traoré, and Samir, an activist from working-class
neighborhoods for a long time. date. The many videos circulating bear unambiguous
testimony to the arbitrariness and violence of these arrests.

Following his violent arrest, Yssoufou Traoré had to be urgently transported on a
stretcher to the hospital from the police station where he had been taken into
custody. If the police custody has now been lifted, Youssouf is however still
hospitalized. It is once again to the BRAV-M that we owe this unbearable
violence. Should we remember that the policeman who murdered Nahel was also a
former BRAV-M? The BRAV-M is one of the most violent incarnations of the armed
wing of state racism. We demand the immediate dissolution of this brigade and
that serious measures be taken to ensure the control of its members. Let us
remember the existence of a petition asking for this dissolution on the site of
the National Assembly, which had already exceeded 260,000 signatures when it was
authoritatively buried by the macronie.

During this time, we could see the police quietly escorting far-right
demonstrations, such as in Paris on July 8 and in Chambéry on July 7 and 8, for
example. At the same time, the President of the National Assembly, the macronist
Yaël Braun-Pivet, also believes that "the police carry out their mission in a
wonderful way". What assignment? These "double standards" show the coherence of
the state policy of "maintaining order": it is indeed a question of maintaining
in place the systems of domination which oppress the working classes, starting
with racism. Will the demonstration in support of the murderous policeman,
scheduled in a few days in Paris, be banned and repressed or will it be
authorized and escorted? The state has chosen its side, and it is not ours.

In this context, there is everything to fear from the "asylum and immigration"
bill 2023, and we once again relay the united call against the Darmanin law and
disposable immigration and call for rallies against racism and the Darmanin law
(in Paris, July 14 at 2 p.m. Place de la Nation).

If Yssoufou and Samir are now released, the relentlessness continues. Like the
unitary press release published this morning, we condemn the complaint filed by
the Paris police headquarters against Assa Traoré. We demand the lifting of the
charges against the person of Assa Traoré and against all the people who
participated in this rally. We recall that this call for mobilization was carried
very widely by trade unions, associations and politicians. The racist and
misogynist relentlessness against Assa Traoré must stop!

At the international level, the French State is singled out for its police
management of demonstrations and its racist violence, including by official
institutions such as the Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination
of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. of the UN[1]... The only reaction of
the French State faced with these reports and denunciations is to deny the facts
through diplomatic channels[2]. There is nothing to expect from the state except
more and more class and racist violence, which, as we know, will continue to go
as far as murder. It is more than ever necessary to organize ourselves at the
base. Faced with racism and police violence, popular unity!

Therefore, the responsibility lies with everyone. We will not let it happen. Let
us be many and numerous to respond to the call of the national coordination
against police violence this Saturday, July 15 at 3 p.m. Place de la République.
