bourgeoisie appeared to us to be one of the principal causes which explain its discredit and its weakness among the lower classes, and we
deplored that it had nothing but conservative platitudes to oppose the revolutionary commonplaces of the crowd". The institution was indeed
an ideological war machine to imprison the so-called lower classes in a mold of thoughts that would be distilled by all the cogs of society.
Forming a homogeneous block, ensuring the permanence of class domination, such was to be the strength of the project, but also its weakness,
