Apart from his sexualpreferences, which don't seem all that transgressive to me, the hypotheses can bevarious: from the presence of strong Lgbtq+ movements in Canada, hence thepressure to intervene, to an attack for defense purposes: Meloni and hiscompanions associate often homosexuality with surrogate pregnancy and Canada isone of the western countries where this is allowed. He certainly seems to be moresensitive than our president, and there is no doubt that in Canada homosexualsand company are better off than in Italy; but above all very far from thesituation in Uganda, where a law has just been approved which increases thepenalties for those who publicly "promote" homosexuality, also providing for thedeath penalty in some cases of recidivism, so much so that Biden himself issued aconviction by insinuating the possibility of sanctions. I don't know if Meloniagrees with her North American friend or if she feels identified and even enviousof the actions of her Ugandan colleague!To the astonished public of this little Italy of ours, especially the voters whohave again preferred Meloni and the whole right, it must make a certain sense todiscover that the US president, their ally against the forces of evil that havecome from the East, defends these perverts, moreover African blacks, likemigrants arriving from the Mediterranean: could it be that we are dealing with anAfrican lgbtq+ crusade that continues to arrive on our beaches and we knewnothing about it? And then the psycho-ideological short-circuit: the fascists denoaltri, historically homophobic, team up with Biden who condemns homophobia, towage war against the homophobic Putin... However, the thing that these Italiotsdiscover and perhaps disturbs them the most , is to discover that there are"faggots" everywhere, from Africa to China, passing through Australia and Russiaitself. I sense a widespread fear that their ownvirility will be questioned or, even worse for these people, the ever-increasingvisibility of the naturalness of difference proposes to the new generationsdifferent models of masculinity (other analyzes would be worthwhile for femaledifference), questioning the very center of their generational existence (see thevalue of sons...). And this is evidently true, since, for the most varied reasonsthat should be studied closely, the different sexualities, especially males, haveacquired more and more social strength and, in part finally cleared by customs inthe West, are using it to defend their existence, but also to show thepossibility of other identities outside the traditional sexual canons to boys andgirls who grew up in homophobic families or, in any case, who would prefer not tohave a "deviant" son or daughter. It is true that with the internet these boysand girls already quickly learn that they are not alone and that there aremillions like them, but this does not help to curb bullies at school or get outof the closet if you live in a small mountain village or in the violent suburb From Rome. And it is on the school that we need to press and intervene, evenwith actions that are not necessarily authorized; developing strategies thatallow the socialization of stories and movements among the youngest, as well asfavoring the organization of local self-defense groups.
