On June 17, the Antifascist Trade Union Meetings were held at the Paris
Labor Exchange. A look back at a day marked with the seal of unity. ----Despite many other militant events on the same day (LIP conference,Darmanin anti-law demonstration), more than 200 people attended the dayorganized by Vigilances et Initiatives syndicales antifascistes (Visa),the CGT, the FSU and Solidarity, in the presence of trade unionists fromFO, the CNT and the CFDT, members of the Young Guard Paris, Acrimed,Debunkers and Syllepses editions. Several comrades from UCL were alsothere to participate in the organization of the day or follow thediscussions. Although the structuring of three major debates did notmake it possible to address concrete solutions, participants from Brestto Grenoble and from the North to Albi were able to discuss their localsituations and offer feedback of experiences. The first debate posed the central question of the far right in theworld of work. In the midst of a public very rooted in interprofessionalstructures, the origins of Visa (the fight against the FN unions in the1990s) were recalled. Successive interventions have brought out severalcentral themes: the fight against RN town halls, the essential role oftrade union tools in the protection of victims of discrimination(training, right to alert), the particular role of local authorityofficials, the fight against racism and for the rights of undocumentedmigrants, but also the crucial role of inter-union work. The second period of discussion devoted to the fight against conspiracywas an opportunity to recall that conspiracy theories are at the heartof far-right ideology (anti-Semitism, great replacement) and serve inparticular to divide workers and the workers. Faced with these dynamics, the interventions insisted on the importance of unions as essentialplaces of daily work to dismantle these discourses and recreate thecollective. Social struggle is the best way to fight against conspiracyand its false solutions!A diverse audience but common observationsThe last discussion time was devoted to fascist violence, with a fullreminder of their growing importance and diversity in recent years.Several examples were presented, in particular the struggles of tradeunionists in Callac and Saint-Brévin, that against the Gud at AssasUniversity, or the strategy of Reconquête to attack the school via thecollectives of " Parents vigilant ".The day ended with a united meeting bringing together the three tradeunion organizations and Visa. While Céline Verzeletti recalled thehistoric role of the CGT in the anti-fascist struggles, Benoît Teste andMurielle Guilbert insisted on the essential role of trade union unity, calling for the development of the pensions intersyndicale against thefar right and its normalization. The driving rain of this end of the daywill not have succeeded in covering the Siamo tutti antifascisti whichresounded in the great hall Ambroise Croizat, recalling that theantifascist struggle is a trade union and unitary struggle.Hugo (UCL Montreuil)https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Rencontres-syndicales-antifascistes-Unite-reaffirmee-contre-l-extreme-droite_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
