2, 2023, cops from the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office

Arrest Unit (BFE) searched four apartments belonging to five leftists in
Freiburg. The searches took place again at the people whose homes had
also been searched in August 2017.
The left is said to have continued linksunten.indymedia.org, the news
platform banned in August 2017. As a static archive or a punishable

In the joint press release by the public prosecutor's office in
Karlsruhe and the LKA BW, this means "maintaining the organizational

The BFE cops rammed open the front doors of the four apartments, stormed
into the apartments masked and screaming, and handcuffed the suspects
where found. Around a dozen mobile devices and more than half a dozen
computers were confiscated, along with a number of storage media. The
property damage alone is in the tens of thousands - again.
In January 2023, the Karlsruhe prosecutor Manuel Graulich criminalized a

January 17, 2023 in Freiburg. Now, almost exactly six years after the

But this time they didn't come to shut down an active Open Posting page,
but to haunt the supposed creators of an archive of movements mirrored
by movements - certainly not just five people.
Repression against archives is not only reprehensible, it is also
ahistorical. For example, the linksunten archive documents the early

 From the forerunners to the founding in 2013 to the federal elections
in 2017. Because six years ago, the AfD moved into the German Bundestag
for the first time. Two weeks earlier, Indymedia linksunten was banned.

enemy is still on the left.
Repression of a radical left news site is open censorship. It is a means
of reaction in the political struggle. Repression against a static
