WORLD WORLDWIDE GREECE News Journal Update - (en) Greece, APO, land & freedom[Mexico]: Statement of the Women's National Meeting of the National Indigenous Congress (CNI) - Indigenous Council of Government (CIG) (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

30 years after the Zapatista comrades achieved the approval of their

Revolutionary Law for Women, which allowed them to put into dailypractice a world free from machismo and violence, and together with thecomrades, through autonomy, participate in building a dignified life ,which is a source of inspiration for our struggle, on our lands, on the5th and 6th of August 2023, we met, at the First Internal Meeting ofWomen of the National Indigenous Congress, in the building reclaimed bythe Otomi Community that lives in Mexico City and has turned it into the"House of Samir Flores Soberanes Indigenous Peoples and Communities",181 CIG-CNI women representatives and advisors, 27 girls and boys from 1to 12 years old, 14 partners and 7 partners for support. We participated from the peoples, afromestizo, afroamexicano, binni zaa, chol, chontal, coca, kora, guarijío, kumiai, maya, mazahua, mazateca, mepha, mestizo, na savi, nahua, nayerí, nuntajiyi, ñhañhu, odame, otomi, purépecha , rarámuri, tojolabal, totonaco, tzotzil, tzeltal, wixárika, yaqui y yoreme, from the states of Baja California, Campeche, Ciudad deMéxico, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Colima, Estado de México, Guerrero, Jalisco,Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca , Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo,Sonora, Tlaxcala, Veracruz y Yucatán.We are the women who fight, who organize, who learn to say NO to abuse,NO to silence, NO to war, learn to take care of ourselves, respect eachother, mobilize each other, call ourselves to participate in thestruggle to defend the land and all life. We call ourselves hope becausewe take responsibility to ensure a tomorrow for future generations. We offered our energies to the four cosmic points, remembered ourhistory as CNI women and recognized the patriarchal, capitalist, racistand colonial system of power, the mega projects, the mining concessions, the cutting down of the trees, the repression, the overexploitation ofwater , to pollution and persecution. When the military, the cartels, the companies of the grandiose projects, such as the TransoceanicCorridor, the Maya Train and the Morelos Integrated Project, arrive, they are accompanied by multiple forms of expropriation of communallands (ejidos) and common goods, by the destruction of life and of landsthrough industrial parks, development poles, toxic waste dumps andenergy projects such as natural gas pipelines and hydrocarbonexploitation on our lands. In this way we lose peace, violence increasesagainst us, against our daughters and sons, against people withdifferent - from the heteronormative - sexual orientations, against ourpartners, they turn us into a sexual object, they do not respect us,they kidnap us, sell us, rape us, beat us, kill us. The defenders ofmother earth and the rights of our people who stand against these grandprojects, they criminalize us, harass us, defame us, slander us,imprison us, torture us, murder us.They destroy Mother Earth that nourishes us, pollute the air we breatheand the water we drink. They are driving us from our own lands, forcingus to take refuge in the mountains or migrate to the cities. We also getsick in the health centers, they do not provide us with quality care, they discriminate against us, they practice obstetric violence againstus, there are no medicines or materials, we have to buy everything andwe have no money. In schools, our cultures continue to be marginalized, the majority of teachers despise our rural life and ancestral knowledge, instill in our daughters and sons false ideas of progress instead oflove for the land and our cultures and many, many from them and them, they allow themselves to be drawn into the lure of easy money and fallinto the nets of all kinds of illegal trade. They seek to control our people with the crumbs of their designs, withfear and division. The maximum expression of this patriarchal, colonial, capitalist systemis the ongoing war, in Mexico, against the Zapatista Peoples and theNational Indigenous Congress, which is currently keeping us on alert dueto the escalation of harassment and attacks against our peoples but alsoin other parts of the world, such as in Kurdistan. They are trying toeliminate these sources of hope for women and for the peoples of theworld who are fighting for a world of peace, justice, freedom and joy.But we resist and will resist to move against the current. Women and menwe defend and resist with the power of our assemblies, with ourspirituality and our ancestral medicine, with the knowledge of ourgrandmothers and grandfathers and with those we build, from the healingspaces we have reclaimed, from the networks we have we extend betweenour peoples and sister peoples from other regions of the planet and withour solidarity partners and comrades in the cities. We also know that the patriarchy is very great but that it comes downand inhabits us, and we are fighting to eradicate it. We see that it isurgent to strengthen this fight that we have already started from ourbodies and from our soil. That is why we demand:Stop the imposition of grand projects of death such as the Maya Train, the Transoceanic Corridor and the Morelos Integrated Project.Stop the war against the peoples and communities of the Zapatistas andthe National Indigenous Congress. From this Women's meeting we call:Let's continue to organize as women to continue the fight and keep thehope that, in a few years, boys and girls will see war and violenceagainst women as a mere memory that will never be repeated, becausethat's what we see on our horizon.Let's continue to participate in the meetings, the charges, thedecision-making from our own way of being as women and invite othercomrades to join the fight. To the National Indigenous Congress to meet to prepare the actionsaround October 12th for our 27th anniversary. To the communities, organizations, collectives and civil society ingeneral to continue to be vigilant in relation to what is happening inthe Zapatista territory and to create actions in our geographies, demanding an end to the war against the Zapatista communities and thenations.Let us continue to establish networks and bridges between us women andthe peoples of the world who are resisting this system of death, becausethis fight is for life.FOR THE OVERALL REASSEMBLY OF OUR PEOPLE,NEVER AGAIN A MEXICO WITHOUT USNEVER AGAIN A MEXICO WITHOUT US FIGHTING WOMENMEETING OF THE WOMEN OF THE NATIONAL NATIVE CONGRESS/NATIVE GOVERNMENTCOUNCILTranslation: B.L.https://landandfreedom.gr/el/diethni/1336-dilosi-tis-ethnikis-synantisis-ton-gynaikon-tou-ethnikoy-ithagenikoy-kogkresou-cni-ithagenikoy-symvouliou-tis-kyvernisis-cig_________________________________________A - I N F O S  N E W S  S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
