But how?Bergoglio launches into generic advice relating to Palestinians wholived about two thousand years ago whose biography is leaky on all sidesand smacks of a legendary fairy tale."It worries me when we fall back into forms of clericalism.""Clericalism is a symptom of a priestly and lay life attempted to livein the role". But given that the priests' salary and pension comeindirectly from their role as a church recognized by the State, I wonderwhat meaning these words have. The mystification is evident.As for "fashionable temptations", the stories of "Don Euro", "DonMercedes" and the priests recently caught emptying the bank accounts ofthe elderly in Piedmont, Tuscany and Veneto, illustrate the futility ofsuch hypocritical exhortations!In conclusion, it should be noted that the papal anticlericalexhortations are very annoying to the reactionary clerical-fascistsectors who had already protested against the self-criticism withrequests for an apology in GP2 of 2000.
