At CNT we are organizing a (self-)training meeting that will take place
during this month of September. We seek to establish ourselves from ourbase, the assemblies and unions, as a space of security and trust forall affiliates, for all militancy. Focusing on the prevention of sexistand LGTBIQphobic violence, we want to share tools that allow us to actfrom the support and reparation of the attacked people, and not fromanger, pity or paternalism. Tools that offer responses and actions ofindividual and collective self-defense, that generate places of struggleand reflection against daily violence in order to transform the societyof tomorrow, and live it from today, where the systematic imbalance ispart of the past.With this training we want to take the first step towards otherrealities. Being able, by pooling our knowledge and strengths, to floodour structures with feminism, turning them into the revolutionarypractice we need to break with the violence inherited and ofteninvoluntarily reproduced. A program of workshops, round tables andtraining spaces for joint reflection in which we will try to analyze thebehaviors that perpetuate situations of inequality and structuraldiscrimination every day. Talks that will reveal attitudes, whethernaturalized or intentional, that attempt to intimidate and discouragethe experiences of those who claim their right to be, be or organize.For this we will have the presence of Embat and Cantabria No Se Vende(CNSV). With its previous experience in the implementation of protocolsagainst sexist violence and from collective reflection, we will analyzethe cultural, social and economic learning that makes us perpetuatecertain values and behaviors that undermine egalitarian relationships.We want to put our interpersonal relationships on the table to carry outa radical critique that tears down the pillars of patriarchy and theneoliberal system that often permeates our common experiences. With thiswe want to understand and raise awareness that anyone can exercise orsuffer violence, since we live in a society where inequality is presentand normalized. Even in the most revolutionary spaces, awareness isnecessary. We believe that training is the best prevention, and thatonly by working together can we reach fairer solutions.This training fits into the genealogy of emancipation and transformationprocesses carried out by the National Confederation of Labor throughoutits history.
