Series of events in North Rhine-Westphalia on Sudan: ---- War againstrevolution and grassroots movements ---- Revolutionary neighborhoodcommittees - Feminist struggles - Queer struggles - Workers* movement -"No to war" ---- For leftist grassroots movements worldwide, therevolution in Sudan is an important point of reference and source ofinspiration. Particularly noteworthy are the degree of organizing frombelow through neighborhood committees and the central role of thewomen's movement. ---- Since late 2018, people in Sudan have taken tothe streets en masse to overthrow the repressive system. One dictatorwas overthrown, two new ones grabbed power. Massacres, coups,negotiations, nothing has been able to stop the revolters so far.With recognition and support from external powers such as the EU andFRG, the military and militias have been trying to crush therevolutionary movements in a mad war against each other since April 2023.In the event two activists of SudanUprising Germany will report aboutdifferent aspects of the revolution: Revolutionary NeighborhoodCommittees, feminist struggles, queer struggles, workers* movement and aclear "No to War".Practical global solidarity and the role of European countries and theEU will also be addressed.In this event, Sara and Marwan, activists from SudanUprising Germany,will report on the different aspects of the revolution:- The history, the political perspective and the current practices ofthe neigbourhood commitees and what can we learn from them.-Feminist-struggles, queer-struggles and the workers' movements,especially their connection to the revolutionary movement.- In what ways is the current war in Sudan a product of thecounter-revolution?
