Faced with an increasingly aggressive Italian militarism, the

militarization of society carried out with insistent propaganda, war
missions, support for the war industry, it is necessary to strengthen
the anti-militarist commitment already active on multiple levels. ----
In Ukraine, in the Horn of Africa, in the Sahel, and in every corner of
the world, war is a reality experienced by over two billion people. The
world powers, the states, the capital, the warlords, send thousands of
proletarians to the slaughter every day, divide the exploited classes,
to establish new positions of power in the imperialist contest. There is
no reason to believe in the illusion of new world balances, the rush
towards war only leads to the abyss of new forms of domination and
oppression. For this reason it is urgent to continue the anti-militarist
and internationalist commitment in support of the deserters and
saboteurs of all wars, to intervene where the war machine rests its
foundations. Against military bases and shooting ranges, against the war
industry and the arms market, against warmongering propaganda, against
the militarization of borders and the new concentration camps. On this
last topic we denounce the involvement of the Ministry of Defense in the
management of CPRs and detention facilities for asylum seekers

There are numerous anti-war initiatives planned for the coming months on
a local and national level. We invite the federated entities to support
all those initiatives in which anti-militarist positions can coherently
have a voice.

 From this perspective we support the general strike called by
grassroots trade unionism for 20 October against the war and the war
economy. The Italian Anarchist Federation joins the demonstrations that
will be held on October 21st against the war and military bases, in
particular those of Pisa and Palermo, in support of anti-militarist and
anarchist participation in these events. November 4th, which is taking
on ever greater importance with the strengthening of anti-militarist
campaigns, will see the organization of numerous initiatives at a local
level. The events that will be held in Monfalcone, Turin and Livorno are
already being reported and the federated entities are invited to promote
initiatives on the occasion of November 4th.
The Italian Anarchist Federation joins the demonstration on 18 November
in Turin organized by the Antimilitarist Assembly against the ninth
edition of the "Aerospace and defense meetings" arms exhibition/market,
against the "aerospace citadel", the new center of the arms industry,
and against the NATO landing in the city of Turin with the innovation
accelerator of the DIANA project. The contribution and participation in
the demonstration in Turin is also important within the framework of the
"Global Days of Fight Against Wars and Militarism from 17 to 25
November", which will see fight initiatives in various countries, and
which were launched during the 'International anarchist meeting in Saint
Imier last July.
