Around the world, millions of workers have had problems with unpaidwages or benefits. This could mean not getting paid for the work done, but also includes failure to pay overtime, not paying required benefitsor paying sub-minimum wages. ---- The Sections of the InternationalWorkers' Association have set an annual week of actions to highlightthis issue. Past actions have also included successful direct actions atworkplaces where this has occurred. (For a report on last year'sactions, see here:https://iwa-ait.org/content/report-international-week-against-unpaid-wages-10th-16th-october-2022)As anarcho-syndicalists, we see solidarity, direct action, boycotts andself-organization as means to counter this problem and there arehundreds of examples of our unions using such means successfully,More information will be published here before and during the week ofactions: https://stopwagetheft.iwa-ait.org/https://www.iwa-ait.org/content/international-week-against-unpaid-wages-october-16-22-2023 https://www.iwa-ait.org/node/1075_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
