The book festival in an anarchist spirit premiered in Brno on October
21. We participated in it with our publications, an exhibition about the
activities of the union in the years 2000-2022 and also with a
presentation. Even though the event took place in Káznice, which is a
former prison, in fact a very interesting, pleasant and peculiar
atmosphere was created in the courtyard and in the adjacent areas. The
program was packed with workshops and presentations (the list can be
viewed here on FB). We contributed a completely new presentation
entitled "Anarcho-syndicalism - experiences from campaigns, disputes and
the functioning of the union Direct Action".
PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION
We prepared it in connection with the ongoing International Week against
Non-Payment of Wages, and our intention was to clarify how the union
Direct Action connects anarchist ideas with practical activity that
brings concrete results even outside the "movement". Therefore, they
mainly talked about the circumstances of the creation and development of
the "Problems at work?" campaign, which met with people's interest. They
also had quite a lot of questions, thanks to which it was possible to
cover several details that were not heard in the presentation.

EXHIBITION

For the first time in the Czech Republic, we had the opportunity to
present the exhibition "Direct Action Association 2000-2022".
Chronologically and on the basis of period annotated photos, it captures
the rich history of the union, divided into four periods, which
approximate the fundamental moments in the development of the organization:
* (2000-2008) We promote anarcho-syndicalism and support the struggles
of others in solidarity
* (2009-2014) We gain first practical experience from workplace disputes
and share them
* (2015-2019) We conduct our own workplace disputes and win
* (2020-2022) For a society without oppression

PUBLICATIONS

And since it was a book event, in a large room full of publishers and
distributors, the publications of Nakladátstva bod zlomu (NBZ), which is
the working group of the union, were also available.

We are also pleased that people showed interest in holding an open
meeting in Brno. We hope that it will be organized in the first months

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The organizing team did a good job, so we rate the premiere very
positively. A great idea was especially the regular updates on the
visible board about what will happen in the next few minutes. We also
