Since Saturday, October 7, 2023, we have witnessed with absolute dismaya brutal worsening of the war in Palestine. Thousands of dead andinjured between operations "Al Aqsa Storm" and "Iron Swords". Somethingas predictable as it is inevitable. ---- Faced with this situation, CNTwants to denounce the handling that states, recognized or not, do withthe population, like pieces on an international game board, where theusual ones lose their lives, homes, loved ones, schools, hospitals.and..... future. Our view as internationalists and anti-statists opposesrecognizing the right of military and political power - of any state -to sacrifice the lives of workers, boys and girls, people of any beliefor origin.Today, a population cornered in an open-air prison, condemned tosuffocation in their basic means of life by the intolerable apartheidcarried out by the state of Israel, also has to suffer the repugnanthypocrisy of their own and other political classes: Terrorism is this,but not that. And although missiles do not reach us here, mediamanipulation does reach us, through shameful slogans that are infinitelyreplicated among themselves, without any shame.When the traditional support of powerful Arab dictatorships had alreadythinned out enough to their explicit acceptance of the de factosituation, a resurgence gestated by other pieces on the board -coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the events of Yom Kippur - putPalestine back ( or what's left of it) on the map.And we have many unanswered questions: Is it credible that MOSAD did notknow about it or has it not been able to assess it? Perhaps it has beenallowed to be able to deliver the final blow from an extreme right moreestablished than ever in power? Is there really a useful differencebetween the Zionist right and left? Are we talking about conflict orcolonialism? And, above all: Is there a place where Gazans can flee tosafety?Many questions and few answers, so, workers and people of the MiddleEast, we want to tell you that:- We deeply reject the apartheid policy exercised by the State ofIsrael, because it is a serious violation of human rights and a crimeagainst humanity.- We abhor the hypocrisy through which these systems and practices arecondemned or justified, depending on the place where they are applied.- We encourage, as workers, also in communication, to denounce that themedia avoids the recognition of cruel or inhuman acts in the context ofan institutionalized regime of systematic domination with the intentionof maintaining itself.- We identify this apartheid for what it is: a system of prolonged andcruel discriminatory treatment by one group of members of another withthe intention of controlling it.- We stand in solidarity with people who try to lead their existence inthat part of the world, of any origin, because all human beings haveequal rights.- We condemn any attack on civilians, regardless of their condition,nation or religion and we advocate for the abolition of borders, walls,fences and barbed wire, as well as the right of return for refugees.- We exclude the idea of more statism as a way out: Two states are notthe solution.- We repudiate any form of racism, Islamophobia or anti-Semitism, butalso militarism and nationalism, instrumental aspects of capitalism andgenuine distractions of the class struggle.- We consider civil disobedience as a right, because no human beingshould be forced to take up weapons, manufacture them or traffic in them.At CNT we think that this is not a game in which we position ourselvesand everything is resolved. We are aware that we are faced with aquestion that is as simple to understand as it is terrible: Ifwidespread impunity is maintained over time, because it is not bearable- eventually - it has to explode.Because more state is not the solution. Because more army is not thesolution.
