Paraná ---- On the 28th and 29th of November, 127 schools in the state
education network of Paraná underwent another public consultation tobecome civic-military, a program implemented by governor Ratinho Júniorfrom 2020 and which since then has not demonstrated no benefit to theschool communities in which it was adopted, despite several liespropagated by the government and supporters with the aim of obtaininggreater adherence to the program. Through it, the government advances inits project to destroy the democratic management of public schools andexpands the ideological reach of the extreme right among the populationof Paraná, converting the state's schools into factories for thedissemination of alienation and values required by the dominant classes. In the consultation, 83 schools approved the change, in a campaign fullof lies, speeding up the process. One of the lies propagated concerns improvements in indices such asIdeb, which is influenced, among other factors, by school attendance. However, it is worth highlighting that this supposed improvement is notdue to an increase in school attendance by students, but due tosomething very different from that: school dropout. In civic-militaryschools, night education (attended by students who have greaterdifficulty staying in school, such as workers) is abolished and studentswho do not maintain the desired school attendance are excluded, that is,they drop out of the school environment.Furthermore, the disastrous management of schools that becamecivic-military are marked by a lot of violence and discriminationimposed on students and the entire school community. Since they began tobe implemented, reports of physical, psychological and sexual violencecommitted by the military managers of these institutions haveaccumulated in the Paraná Public Ministry. Those who frequent these spaces are prevented from expressing theiruniqueness - through clothes, makeup, hair and accessories - and theiropinions. The process of school massification imposes a single way ofbehaving among students and any differentiation from the imposedstandard is punished. Furthermore, the destruction of democraticmanagement also characterizes this model: the school community isprevented from deciding the best paths for the school and a regime ofcensorship and obedience is imposed. It is worth noting that those whoonly obey are prevented from developing a critical conscience andunderstanding the influences of social, racial, gender and otherinequality in their reality. The advance of neoliberal pedagogy is already felt in all schools in thestate through the imposition of digital platforms and new subjects inthe New High School. The government's lack of dialogue with the schoolcommunity is perceived through the imposition of a curriculum aimed attraining docile and obedient subjects for the job market. Furthermore, the emptying of collective training spaces among education professionalsis yet another mark left by the Ratinho Júnior government in schools inParaná. All this authoritarianism ordered by the government, which nevertires of creating mechanisms to end freedom of expression and thecritical sense of the population of Paraná, is perceived through thehigh level of physical and mental illness among students andprofessionals in public education.PUBLIC SCHOOLS HAVE TO BE AN EXPRESSION OF DIVERSITY AND BASIC DEMOCRACY!Fighting for a critical and diverse school is building a laboratory withthe potential to strengthen grassroots democracy. Peripheral, black, indigenous, LGBTQIA+ populations and women can no longer tolerate thesilencing of their cultures and the lack of rights imposed by the State. It is necessary to expand the debate on the roots that build the massschool and expand the cultural repertoire present in school curricula.Understanding how the school structure is built like a factory toimprint the cultural values of the dominant classes and destroydiversity is an important step towards advancing the democratization ofschools and their curricula.A fair and equal society is built with respect for diversity, mutualsupport and class solidarity. It is essential to strengthen every daythe criticism of the violence that the capitalist system imposes throughthe State. We need to expand understanding of the mechanisms thatexploit the entire working class and destroy all structures thatreinforce the values of authoritarianism and blind and alienatedobedience in society!ALL OUR REBELLION AGAINST THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CIVIC-MILITARY SCHOOLS!FIGHT AND EXPAND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DIVERSE PUBLIC SCHOOL WITH BASICDEMOCRACY!https://cabanarquista.org/calc-militarizacao-das-escolas-no-parana-fabrica-pedagogica-de-alienacao-da-extrema-direita/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
