In 2023 we begin our strike with an end date. The Sindiute leadershipcarried out this erroneous method, announcing to the seven winds thelast day of our movement. Thus, Sarto/PDT felt free to "tire" thecategory, leading us to accept any crumb that was offered. We cannotrepeat this mistake! ---- The national teaching floor was readjusted byjust 3.62%, a value below the inflation that closed 2023 at 4.62%, 1%above the readjustment percentage of our floor. However, inflation inFortaleza-CE was the fifth highest in Brazil, at 4.88%. Therefore, if weonly claim the minimum salary, we will have a salary loss of more than1% per month.Salary table and 2017 with default by Roberto Cláudio/PDTIn 2017, the then mayor Roberto Cláudio/PDT defaulted on the category,not paying the minimum salary. At the time, the adjustment would be7.64%. The category reacted by occupying the SME, but was unable toreverse the default. We must claim the percentage today as a way torepair the zero adjustment of 2017.But the lowered adjustment is a consequence of the tax relief policy inseveral areas carried out by the Bolsonaro/PL government, such aselectoral measures in 2021 and 2022 that reduced revenue andconsequently, our salary floor. It is also necessary to observe thefiscal policies of Haddad/PT, which wants to "zero the fiscal deficit"at the cost of constitutional minimums (15% for Health and 18% forEducation). We need to confront Sarto/PDT and ensure that the Lula/PTgovernment does not attack our category or education in general again.We propose:Indefinite strikeIn this assembly, colleagues divide themselves into regions and establish:a) a calendar of meetings of the striking zones,b) strategies to mobilize in their neighborhoods, at fairs, andc) elect two representatives and two substitutes for the strike command.That the strike command be defined by the category in its base, zonal orassembly organizations. May this formulate the policies fororganizing/mobilizing the strike and supporting our union againstpossible legal persecution from the City of Fortaleza.We are a group of workers dissatisfied with the hegemonic union model,including Sindiute-CUT. We fight for union freedom and the autonomy ofour class.
