They installed pickets in front of theircompanies: the DPD platform (subsidiary of La Poste) inCoudray-Montceaux, the Chronopost agency in Alfortville and the RSIinterim agency in Gennevilliers. The main demand in this labor conflictis the regularization of all the workers fighting on these three picketswithin the framework of collective negotiation.For years, these temporary workers have suffered system-wideoverexploitation by companies seeking workers without permits due to theextreme deterioration of the working conditions that they have imposedon their employees.On the RSI side (building subcontracting company), the Nanterreprefecture (92) regularized 18 workers last August and refused all otherrequests. It should be noted that a year before, Darmanin had negotiateda meeting with the PCF deputy from Gennevilliers and for the RSI picketalone. At the end of the meeting, 83 receipts had been given, but aftersix months of validity, the vast majority of people became undocumentedagain.On the DPD side, things are progressing slowly (receipts) with the Évryprefecture. At the end of this chain, thereis the shameless exploitation of undocumented workers, forced to workcrazy hours, incompatible with the use of public transport, includingovertime (or even part of the hours altogether). ) are not paid, andwhose missions are interrupted as soon as they cannot keep up or theydemand their rights.For more than 24 months, the workers in struggle and their supportershave increased their mobilizations in front of the managementheadquarters of La Poste and its subsidiaries, to demand that theseshameless bosses assume their responsibilities as order givers! La Postewas fully aware, since it ended up breaking contracts with Derichebourg.This fight, at Chronopost Alfortville, took over from that which,between June 2019 and January 2020, had made it possible to impose theregularization of 27 workers overexploited by this subsidiary of LaPoste and its subcontractors, Derichebourg and Mission Intérim, and theregularization of 46 other workers, from other companies, who activelyparticipated in this fight. Among the 83 workers excluded at the time ofregularization, many are continuing the fight in the current conflict.In their struggle, the current employees of Chronopost, like the formermembers of the 2019 picket, have received reinforcement from numerousundocumented workers from other companies, most of them exploited underthe same conditions, and present for more than 24 months on the picketsand in demonstrations, to also demand their regularization.The Val-de-Marne prefecture, after 18 months of silence and refusal,finally received a delegation from the Chronopost picket in May. A fewfiles were then submitted to the prefecture, and a very small number ofresidence permits have since been issued. We are therefore very far from"benevolent" treatment of the Chronopost strikers and their supporters."Benevolent treatment according to the file" which had been affirmed bythe prefecture. The prefecture is increasing the demands, in particularby asking again for documents from employers that neither Derichebourg,nor the other subcontractors, nor La Poste have ever wanted to provide.On the other hand, the prefecture of Créteil (94) to date refuses anynew collective submission of files from other workers fighting on thepicket. There can be no question of the mobilized workers accepting thisdivisive maneuver, and the struggle therefore continues for theregularization of all the occupants of the picket.The responsibility of the government, in particular with regard to thePost Office and its subsidiaries, is fully engaged as the referenceshareholder of this company whose capital it controls alongside theCaisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC); the State is aware of theexploitation system that has been in place for years. The Ministry ofLabor is fully aware of the situation and responsibilities ofsubcontractors and principals. But no more than two years ago, theservices of the Ministry of Labor in Val-de-Marne (DRIEETS) have notcarried out a real investigation into the exploitation of undocumentedimmigrants at Chronopost Alfortville, and are in fact covering up thePost Office Management. During the demonstration in front of itsmanagement on October 4, this ministry refused to receive us, referringus again to the Ministry of the Interior. At the Ministry of theInterior, where we have demonstrated many times and requested hearings,there is radio silence regarding these La Poste subsidiaries and theirsubcontractors.
