26-03-2024 Last Sunday on the show: Flower shop Rose Noire When US President Barack Obama visited Belgium, Sophie Cooymans of Rose Noire was responsible for the flowers in his hotel. "The delegation visited the shop to choose the colours, because they had to be certain colours. That was great fun to do, although the pressure was high." Report by Anja Strelec. They also take to the streets two nights a week to observe what is happening in Brussels' nightlife. One sex worker said: "When I talk to a client, passers-by often say we are transvestites or gay. "In my last book, 'In the Taxi', I make a trip back to the city where I was born, Tripoli in Lebanon. It made me discover some issues about gender identity. We live in a world where we have a very strong legacy of binary gender and male domination. I think we need to free ourselves from this system, which is not suitable for everyone."
