Flora make this call, as we feel the need to rely on international
solidarity in order to contribute to the material, physical and moral
relief of the victims of the capitalist disaster that hit our region.
---- Our appeal is made because of the ecological and social emergency
caused by the massive urban and forest fires in the communities of
Valparaiso, Viña del Mar and Quilpué, in the territories they call
Chile, on February 2 and 3.
More than 130 human lives and thousands of animals were lost in the
fire. In addition, over 15,000 houses were completely destroyed or
damaged. Among the burned buildings are community centers, public
libraries and other community spaces.
Capitalist looting, real estate development, industry destroying forests
and the housing crisis affecting people are the elements that led to
this terrible tragedy.

As anarchists we focus our efforts in solidarity with the victims of the
fire and especially with the comrades and political projects that were
affected.
Given the scale of the disaster, we consider this international campaign
necessary to raise money to give directly to the victims, to rebuild the
infrastructure that was burned, to keep the soup kitchens open and to
buy materials from the groups self-management.
