Please donate now Dear friends,  As furious storms, relentless rain, and devastating flash floods pummel Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi, the toll on human and animal lives is heartbreaking.  For illustration purposes only. Roads have been transformed into raging rivers, while torrents of fast-moving water race across the landscape, wreaking havoc on impoverished communities. At least 38 people have been killed so far, and more than 110,000 find themselves displaced as floodwaters engulf their homes.  Over 1,000 farm animals have already perished, and the fate of countless domestic animals remains uncertain. Many cats and dogs have already drowned amid this catastrophic disaster – and many more are trapped, scared, and alone. As people flee for their lives, animals are left to drown. Can you imagine the utter terror they must be feeling?  The animals of flood-stricken Nairobi are starving, homeless, terrified and alone. Please, help us rush aid before it is too late! Working with our partners on the ground, and fuelled by your donations, we can help save the lives of countless animals in distress. With further devastating rainfall predicted in the days ahead, the urgency of this situation cannot be overstated. We must act NOW to rescue, shelter, feed, and care for as many helpless animal victims as possible.   Water levels are rising, and we must ACT NOW to rescue stranded animals.  Please donate right away so we can save animals in crisis! Our dedicated partners on the ground, the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) and the Kibera Youth Center Shelter (KYCS) are working around the clock to aid animals in distress. But resources are stretched thin, and we urgently need YOUR support to save even more lives.  The KSPCA shelter is currently overwhelmed with over 200 animals, double their usual capacity, while KYCS, operating within the Kibera slum, is struggling to accommodate the 30 rescued animals in their care. With your help, we can provide immediate support to establish temporary shelters, send in enough food, secure essential supplies and ensure access to crucial veterinary care.  This flood couldn’t have come at a worse time. Puppy and kitten season is compounding the crisis, and we need to act now to save the lives of vulnerable mothers and their babies.  Exhausted dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens are swimming for survival amid the floodwaters, desperately hoping to be saved and taken to safety. We need your help right now to ensure that critical rescue operations can continue.
