In recent months there has been much talk about the decision of the
sister government of Italy to subject candidates for the judiciary to
tests to assess their suitability for the legal profession in court.
This claim does not include freelance lawyers and, rightly, some
magistrates have protested both at the fact itself and at the
non-inclusion of ministers and politicians in general. Beyond the
instrumental intention of the government in the pre-electoral era and
the real value of such instruments for identifying intentions or
conditions, there is no doubt that it is part of a long Western
tradition which has its roots in the Judeo-Christian Bible itself.

magistrates work, it is necessary to be clear that it involves a long
list of questions which we can, roughly, divide into three categories:
(a) concrete data on the subject's history, in order to elaborate its
historical profile; (b) attitudinal and taste data; and (c) data on
hypothetical behavior, when faced with imaginary situations. In case b,
these are questions like "What flavor of ice cream do you prefer" or "do
you like car rides", while in case c, the questions require you to
imagine a situation, like "someone drops a banana peel in street, what
are you doing?". In general, the answers to the questions are closed,
that is, the subject must choose between pre-coded answers.
Theoretically, the comparison between the various types of data,
numerically calculated, would make it possible to judge the character,
honesty and even the degree of aggressiveness, comparing the results
with tables developed experimentally after calibration with people who
have proven to be dishonest or aggressive (it would be laughable, if the
matter weren't serious and with people in power who believe in it!).
In fact, this type of test is already applied to police and armed forces
officers, even if we do not know whether the selection criteria allow us
to choose people with or without aggression. The beatings of students in
Pisa and Rome by the police suggest that the aggressive are not
discarded, people who could be at ease in the context of the current
government. In reality, for decades the most critical psychologists have
been condemning these types of tests considering them ineffective,
something confirmed by the existence of real psychological consultants,
complete with online advertising, who offer courses and real training to
easily pass the tests, paying of course. Therefore, in the case of
police and armed forces, a more realistic hypothesis would simply be
valid: these "bodies" more easily attract people of a certain type,
aggressive males, with the desire to shoot someone and, naturally,
strongly homophobic, like the case of General Vannacci confirms this. On
the other hand, this same logic would also apply if they were repressed
homosexuals, as Crozza often insinuates in his imitation of the general
who, for his part, confessed and wrote about his curiosity about the
graininess of the skin of the blacks he met on the Paris metro , so much
so that he pretends to fall in order to touch them. Perhaps in his case,
the test didn't work or he had prepared well before submitting to the test.
And since explicit gays are not allowed in the men's army (let's
remember the motto of the US army: don't ask, don't tell), a suspicion
is enough to exclude, so the general may have decided to migrate to
politics , before they require him to take another test or interview
about his preference between pumpkins and peas! (but falling from the
frying pan into the embers of the League, where the same law applies,

if we consider the recent news of an inquisitorial proceeding against a
Turin prison police officer which took place in 2021 and which only now

for moral damages. The official was forced to submit to a test to
determine whether he was attracted to men. The test, which probably
didn't work, was followed by an interview with his superiors, with
specific questions about his attraction to men and whether he was happy
with his family, which was followed by the advice/imposition to consult
a psychiatrist. Once the news spread, humiliations followed in the
prison environment which forced him to ask for transfer and report it to
the TAR.
We have entered the nightmare of a disciplinary society and we haven't
even noticed it and it is of no use that Gratteri proposes that even
politicians undergo these tests and even alcohol tests. Caste cannot be
touched and the laws only apply to those who do not have power and
money. And it is getting worse, spilling over into everyday life, with
daily violence, in trains and squares, in broad daylight, against anyone
who is different, whether of gender or colour. And we already see that
mobility is also being increasingly controlled and limited every day,
with blanket filings or easy dismissals for those who protest. We are
already in a fascist society, even if we are "free" to stay attached to
our smartphones which, in fact, think for us and everyone stays happily
ever after...
