The Anarchist Network Dresden (AND) has existed since 2015 and has lived
since then through a variety of groups, individuals and social contexts.
When the AND was founded, all those involved agreed on common
principles. And although sexism was clearly spoken out against, there
was also sexual violence in the environment of the people who organized
themselves in the AND. There were various attempts to deal with it,
which more or less did not work.
Several people affected by violence left the city over time. This also
meant that parts of our projects, such as Circle-A, no longer existed.
The people committing the violence were often protected, supported or
the social environment distanced itself instead of taking responsibility.
We tried for a long time to address this problem and create awareness of
what it means to take responsibility and why this is necessary within
our community, the scene, the places in it, ...
We felt we were not being heard or ignored. People didn't see it as
their problem or said they lacked expertise. There was no sense of
responsibility for our spaces, groups, networks, ...
That's why we started to write a draft for a joint agreement for our
community in Dresden. We had continuous meetings at AND with many
internal workshops on questions of responsibility, community,
definitions of terms and what all that means for us.
To present the agreement, we invited people to the Libertarian Days in
2022. There was a lot of criticism but also a lot of encouragement.
There was also an open process to revise the agreement together so that
everyone could contribute their criticism.

Collective agreement
Collective agreement as a booklet
Many groups in Dresden are now discussing whether to join this agreement
and how they can implement it. The aim is to continue to work on this
important topic so that it remains relevant in the long term and
continues to develop. It should become part of the self-image in groups.
The topic will be further worked on in the Dresden community in joint
general assemblies. Since there are different group constellations, we
think it is important to continue to exchange ideas there.
What does your group need in order to join the agreement?
What ideas/concepts are you developing in your groups and can other
groups learn from you?
The concept of shared responsibility is not set in stone. It is given
substance and vitality through active participation, practical
implementation and the openness to learn from one another and support
one another in the process.
How do we practically implement the agreement within the network:
Contact persons:
all groups in the network have contact persons and develop concepts for
this (not every group...)
these contact persons can also be contact persons in the network at the
same time
individuals who are active in the network can also be contact persons
we can be contacted via email a-dresden@riseup.net subject[CA request]
exchange:
the contact persons exchange information after contact has been made and
discuss the next steps to provide support
support:
the collective agreement is an item on the agenda at every AND meeting
we exchange information about the current situation, possibly discuss
content and see who will be there in the next few weeks and take on the
role of contact person
