 The FAI Reggiana is saddened to announce the passing, at only 57 years

of age, of comrade Enea Zecchi. This is a great loss for the FAI
Reggiana, for the Italian Anarchist Federation and for all the comrades
who knew him. We knew he wasn't well, but we didn't think the disease
would be so fast and, at the same time, so ruthless. ---- He approached
anarchism at a very young age, in the mid-80s, through the punk movement
of which he was a leading figure in our territory. He joined the FAI
Reggiana shortly after, becoming a militant committed to spreading the
values and practices of anarchism; he was among the founders of the
"Bakunin" group of Novellara and among the animators of the experience
of the Emilian Anarchist Federation in the 1990s. He devoted himself to
numerous activities following and promoting the initiatives carried out
by our Federation in that period: in youth groups, in anti-war
movements, in trade union work, in anarchist propaganda and in the
diffusion of Umanità Nova in front of the factories and schools of
Reggio Emilia. He also participated in many national initiatives of the
Italian Anarchist Federation: parties, conventions, conferences,
congresses with constant militancy. He was part of the Correspondence
Commission of the Italian Anarchist Federation when it was entrusted to
the FAI Reggiana. For us he was a militant of reference, always ready to
support our political positions, even in the difficult moments that we
have gone through in these decades of common militancy.

With Enea we lose a brother, a friend and a comrade who gave so much
both to our local Federation and to the Italian Anarchist Federation.

To his wife Annalisa, to his children Vanessa and Claudio and to the
whole family go our most heartfelt condolences.
