We are calling for an anti-fascist demonstration on Saturday, February 7, 2026, starting at 1 p.m. in Saulx-lès-Champlon, in the heart of the Meuse region, against the Hammerskins neo-Nazi center, Thor's Tavern in Combres-sous-les-Côtes. We want this protest to be determined and accessible to all those who oppose the establishment of an international neo-Nazi network in the department and beyond. Fifteen years too long! With Thor's Tavern in Combres-sous-les-Côtes, the "Lorraine Hammerskins" have had a training and gathering place in the Grand Est region since the 2010s. Despite protests, particularly in 2015 when the neo-Nazis moved from Toul to Combres-sous-les-Côtes, near Verdun, they have managed to establish a lasting presence.
After the administrative closure of the first skinhead "clubhouse" in Toul, in the neighboring department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, their relocation proved fruitful: unhindered by the authorities, this organization has existed for a decade in the Meuse region and is growing openly.
Day after day, they spread racism, misogyny, homophobia, ableism, and antisemitism right on our doorstep: all this propaganda of fascist ideology that the media outlets of the ultra-wealthy property owners, fundamentalist Catholics, and radicalized bourgeoisie have been exploiting for years to divide the population and spread hatred.
We already know where all this is leading.
The tavern in the spotlight:
Antifascist research conducted over the past two years, followed by media reports, has shown that this former agricultural shed has become a center for weekly combat training and an organizing space for an international Nazi audience.
The Hammerskins are an ultra-violent gang organized in part by this "Brown Hangar" in the Côtes de Meuse region (and other disgusting parties across Europe, unfortunately).
Thor's Tavern is frequented by internationally wanted criminals and serves as a hub for neo-Nazis from the Balkans to the United States. Some of them, wanted in other countries, have been able to take advantage of the negligence of the Grand Est authorities to stay clandestinely with the Nazi skinheads in the canton.
Many members of the Grand Est region's combat clubs (or "Active Clubs") train there and admire the violence-sometimes with their families-in order to create material opportunities for the supremacist overthrow desired by the followers of Adolf Hitler.
The prefecture denied the problem until the citizens' gathering and the meeting with delegates from our collective at the end of November forced them to take note, even admit the issue. While the State tries to reassure us by stating that procedures are underway, we are still waiting for concrete actions on the ground.
Only anti-fascist interventions have managed to tarnish their growing reputation. Thor's Tavern is now a symbol of a growing neo-Nazi influence, which we firmly oppose.
The authorities' lax approach is questionable.
State authorities seem to have become accustomed to this unprecedented hotbed of public hatred in France: the most radical measure they have taken has been to conduct simple checks of people arriving at a tournament.
Even when hundreds of fascists publicly display Nazi symbols and intimidate the village of Combres-sous-les-Côtes, the police visits take place in a cordial atmosphere, despite the obvious disturbance of public order, as Nazi tattoos and symbols (swastikas, Holocaust denial, etc.) are displayed in the village streets.
While the residents live in fear, the prefecture initially claimed "it could do nothing" because "it would still need to be proven that the establishment is indeed run by neo-Nazis."
However, the owner and manager of this tavern, Jérémy F., is a figure who publicly disseminates his ideology and meets all the criteria of fascism. Along with his colleagues from western Lorraine, he regularly attends events organized by Holocaust denial and hate networks in France and beyond.
It is high time to act!
For months, we have observed their growing popularity among the youth of the canton: the struggle for cultural domination by the Nazis could be won by these neo-Nazi skinheads if we remain in fear and resignation.
Since the Hammerskins were banned in Germany two years ago, the Meuse region's "Thor's Tavern" has become increasingly frequented by international Nazis. It is urgent to put an end to this den of violence and hatred.
Let's gather in large numbers in the center of the Meuse on Saturday, February 7, 2026, departing from Saulx-lès-Champlon at 1 p.m.
We are calling for a determined and cross-border anti-fascist protest: long live international solidarity-no neighborhoods, no warehouses, no land for fascists!
Let's put an end to Nazi centers, here and elsewhere!
