Dear friends, For years, SARA has stood beside Animals First Aid as our longest-standing rescue partner. Together, we have helped protect animals who had nowhere else to turn. Today, more than 900 dogs, around 200 cats, rescued horses and other vulnerable animals depend on SARA for food, clean water, shelter and medical care.   Lili is one of them.   She arrived with a paw so badly injured that SARA’s team changed her bandages every day, gave her antibiotics and did everything possible to save her leg. But the damage kept worsening. Amputation became the only option.   The surgery went well—and Lili refused to let the loss of a leg take away her joy. She has learned to walk, run and play on three legs. She is affectionate, easygoing and happy among dogs of every age. When she sees someone she trusts, she runs over for attention.
