For two years, a move to requisition buildings developed on Toulouse: Campaign for the requisition, mutual and self (Crea). The goal is to requisition empty buildings, abandoned or subject to property speculation. ---- We're up-group [ 1 ] with all those who want to participate: ill-housed, are, left to the street by the State and capitalism families, people who can not pay their rent , people who are fed up with this system, supportive people. ---- In a previous paper [ 2 ], we talked about the expulsion of a large self-managed social center, leaving the street about 200 people. Since we moved es in Bonnefoy, a popular area that is the target of an urban renewal project. Indeed, with the advent of high-speed line between Toulouse and Bordeaux, the area behind the station will gradually evolve into business district. We prefer to make a neighborhood resistance! Still, it is an arm of iron daily with the prefecture, the mayor and the cops. The winter was marked by the trial and expulsion repeatedly. But as the old saying goes: "No evictions without reoccupation! ". Repression and expulsions Currently, it is more than 14 buildings were requisitioned and home to nearly 180 people. Since January 18, we are in a building owned by the town hall, where about fifty people live, but also welcomes a new Autonomous Social Center (the third in two years!) Which hosts many activities: workshops languages, fight, dance, film, choirs, etc.. Impressive numbers when you consider that for Toulouse, there are only 409 seats emergency accommodation, only 168 relate to families. But the goal is not to overcome the shortcomings of the government and make the country a "real estate agency of misery." On the contrary, we think that the state is not the solution but part of the problem and no one can take care of us better than ourselves. We want to exceed the pyramidal society based on money, power, racism and sexism. For this we are looking for ways of organization founded by solidarity, equality and autonomy. Activities and free housing is a first step. The motto: self-organization! It is organized horizontally, all decisions are made at general meetings. It also tries to deconstruct the privileges of gender and race, with single-sex women's meetings and workshops "deconstructed your privileges" to move towards more egalitarian social relations. The campaign also opened the "children's house", a place of residence, but also allows a collective responsibility of the youngest, with activities on Wednesday, help with homework and language courses. During the February vacation, the bushels have even gone to air in the self-managed farm Cravirola! So, although much remains to be done, to resist, to build, we will continue to open buildings despite the repression of the town hall of the prefecture and the state. In Toulouse, as elsewhere, many homes are empty, then we are more and more numerous and too much hassle for many to pay rent, what do we expect? Everything for everyone, power to the people!
