main interest is to contain the activism of the people, either with fines and
imprisonment, or by capturing them for charges in municipal or state politics?

protect us, when they have been creating a market for years and years that
benefits banks and companies, is of a supine innocence. Waiting for other
elections is preparing for frustration. The path set by those who are pursuing
other strategies goes through a series of very simple steps: you are
representative, join the union; analyze your environment; determine the problems;
look for resources, human, material, monetary, and make a plan with your
colleagues; establish independent alliances (politicians, no matter how nice they
may seem to you, are powerless); call assemblies and talk to people; modify the
plan based on what has been achieved; get down to business with a goal... Ah. And
have a good lawyer, or a few. And life, your life, and that of your
environment,it will start to be more satisfying.
