The small world of social activities and extracurricular activities was shaken
last November and December by three very promising days of national strikes. ----It is a historic movement that today agitates local authorities and animationstructures. Never before have the animators had led a strike on a national scale, and even less by bringing together public and private personnel. It must be saidthat the reasons for the anger are numerous as the wages are indecent and theworking conditions precarious. ---- If in the private sector the contracts areoften a little more attractive than in the public sector, the salaries thererarely exceed the minimum wage. Worse, with the latest branch agreements, theyare down and can even now go under the Smic ... Result according to the CGT: anaverage loss of 800 euros per year for all employees in animation.Red Photo Library /Red Photo Library/MILOIn the public as in the private sector, extracurricular and extracurricularworkers share the same observation: between the delusional supervision rates, thelack of training and the understaffing, it is impossible for the anims to work.correctly and in the interest of the children. The result is deep distress, whichgenerates its share of injuries, both physical and psychological. Union work hasalways been complicated in animation. This situation is primarily linked to the " committed" aspectof the job.Commitment sold to workers in popular education associations is often used as atool of pressure on staff. To avoid " harming the association " we should notmake waves by unionizing. And then, if the structure pays us badly, it is becauseit needs to finance all of its action vis-à-vis the public received... Organizingis therefore not obvious, and strikes even less so. And even when you want toorganize, confusion reigns, multiple sometimes competing structures sharing theunionization of anims !A very large inter-unionThe current movement, unprecedented in its scale, is carried by a very largeinter-union and by a national collective called France animation en fight. Withfairly strong rates of strikers where the movement is taking hold and numerousdemonstrations, it is blowing a new wind on the profession. The claims made arebroad and numerous, sometimes vague and a bit catch-all. Above all, they are theexpression of fed up and a desire for change. While in several cities, thestrikes gave rise to beautiful demonstrations, the trade union structures and thecollective struggles are gaining in vitality. The construction of a tradeunionism of branch and combat within the animation - a unionism which would knowhow to put an end to the multiplication of the structures and the ambientconfusion - is a vital necessity. Within UCL, links have been created betweenseveral comrades in the sector in order to work in this direction. The animationgoes into the action, and we will only be satisfied with victory!Pierre Chute (UCL Grenoble)https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Animation-enfin-debout-pour-dire-stop_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
