in the internationalist and anti-war sense, demonstrating that self-management is
a living practice. ---- It was initially planned to be a global meeting, with
delegations from different continents, but the international context and the
implications of the pandemic forced a postponement to 2023. The result of last
weekend's meeting is certainly positive and will serve as a springboard to launch
an international anarchist meeting next year.

150 years later, the relevance of the "Principles of Saint-Imier" defined in 1872
by the Italian, Spanish and Jura federations and by the French and American
sections of the congress is clear. In this document, central to the origins of
the anarchist movement, are the statements that conclude the Third Resolution.

The Congress meeting in Saint-Imier declares:

That the destruction of all political power is the first duty of the proletariat;
That any organization of a political power that declares itself provisional and
revolutionary in order to achieve this destruction of political power, can only
be one more mistake and would be as dangerous for the proletariat as all the
governments currently existing;
That, rejecting any compromise to achieve the realization of the Social
Revolution, the proletarians of all countries must carry out, outside of any
bourgeois politics, the solidarity of revolutionary action.
