Three Syrian refugees who wanted to cross the border over the Meriç River near
the Greek city of Evros on the Turkish border were murdered by the Greek police.---- On 14 July, around 50 refugees from different nationalities, includingelderly people, pregnant women and 12 children, were attacked by Greek lawenforcement officials while trying to cross the Evros river into Greek territory.While many refugees were injured in the attack, 3 people lost their lives. ----According to the news of Efsyn published in Greece, one of the refugees trying tocross into Greece died as a result of the brutal beating of the Greek lawenforcement officers. Two Syrian refugees drowned after they were forciblystripped of their clothes and thrown into the river to swim to the Turkishborder, although they could not swim.
