The far right is once again taking advantage of the most sordid occasions to get
people talking about it. By attacking the Pessac mosque, the Bordeaux far rightcontinues its work of violence with complete impunity. ---- On October 21, 2022,the Pessac mosque was vandalized with racist and Islamophobic inscriptions thatlinked Muslims to the sordid murder of young Lola. ---- Even though the family ofthe deceased asks for respect for their mourning and not to use this event forpolitical purposes, the French far right is taking the opportunity to do itsusual job of scavengers, taking advantage of this tragic story to stigmatize andgive way to its racist violence against a population increasingly stigmatized bythe state, the media and the bourgeoisie.It is therefore at the call of the RN and Reconquête that rallies see all themost reactionary and racist France can count surge in the streets, with its hostof violently racist attacks and slogans, calling for the murder of immigrants andtheir deportation. But this responsibility is not simply that of the extreme right.For years, the Macron government has multiplied racist and Islamophobicoffensives against a large part of French men and women: dissolution of the CCIF,separatism law, ban on burkinis in public spaces; the list of specific attackstargeting Muslim people is only growing, paving the way for this suffocatingsituation for all those who have to suffer these attacks.Unacceptable impunity for the far rightLocally, the far right is not at its first attempt.
