which will change the character of the development in this part of
Solacz. The building will contain only large apartments available only
to the wealthiest clients. Its construction means another step towards
the spatial and ecological degradation of this area of the city, which
is an important element in the fight against smog. It is at risk, among
others: the surrounding tree stand located in the buffer zone of the
western green wedge, which is able to purify the air and store carbon
dioxide. The construction of this multi-story building will become a
precedent for similar development, opening the way for developers to
erect similar buildings on nearby plots and irreversibly changing the
microclimate of this quiet, green district, and thus the entire city of
Poznan.
The company behind the above-mentioned investment is Duda Development
sp. z o. o., with capital ties to Duda Holding, previously known as
Polski Koncern Miesny Duda. Currently, the Holding is still engaged in
industrial pig breeding. Today, capital accumulated from animal
exploitation is transferred to the real estate sector. The company lists
its investments: Nowe Zlotniki estate near Poznan, Palacza Office Center
and Fyrtel Wilda in Poznan. Pulaskiego 19 is to be the next achievement
of the meat tycoon Duda.

We accuse Duda of unecological behavior for two main reasons:

Firstly, this capital was created and operates based on industrial
animal breeding. Industrial farms are one of the most significant
emitters of greenhouse gases - primarily methane, which directly
contributes to the climate catastrophe. They are also a source of many
substances toxic to the environment, such as ammonia and hydrogen
sulphide. The development of industrial farms has led and continues to
lead to hundreds of protests by rural communities, which are exposed to
stench, water pollution, and plague levels of insects and rodents, and
are exposed to epidemic threats. Finally, Duda earned his money from the
exploitation and suffering of animals.
Secondly, pig capital intends to contribute to the further degradation
of Solacz and the Bogdanka valley. At a time when the inhabitants of
Poznan lack green areas and friendly spaces, which means that we all
struggle with the effects of smog and suffer from high temperatures that
negatively affect the functioning of our city.
