in Berlin on November 4th and 5th, 2023. Berlin has now hosted a congress for the second time. The gathering was organized by one of our oldest groups. ---- The two well-filled days of the congress, to which members of all local groups came, dealt with a wide variety of topics. One focus was on completing the revision of our previous recording texts. This was decided at the last federation congress in Cologne and has made significant progress in the six months since then. We also looked at the planned development of our programmatic basis and decided on the first steps here. We also worked out a restructuring of our awareness structures at the last congress, which we were able to finalize this congress. In various discussion rounds we also talked about the current state of our practice in social struggles as well as the further spread of our local structures in different parts of the Federal Republic of Germany. A special highlight followed on the second day of the congress: we were able to welcome guests to our federation congress for the first time. A delegation of comrades from Perspective Self-Administration paid us a visit. Two rounds of discussions were about exchanging experiences and the future joint networking and collaboration of our two organizations. Like every year, we took time to exchange ideas, network and empower each other as FLINTA*s within the organization. Meanwhile, the cis-male comrades have carried out an organized criticism of their male socialization, which is already a regularly anchored structure in almost all local groups and is intended to recognize and reflect patriarchal dynamics in our federation as well as in private life. In the evening after our content program, we relaxed together, ate and it was finally time to talk privately: Newly joined comrades were able to get to know each other personally and "long-serving" comrades were happy to see each other again. Unfortunately, in the stress of everyday life and political work, this is often neglected and our congresses are always a great opportunity to meet each other on a human level and grow together as a federation. We once again received some greetings from our sister organization for this congress, which we always read out on the morning of our congress day as a little motivation. Below we have documented the greeting from our Catalan comrades from EMBAT: "We live in complicated times. In connection with the serious massacres in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, there is a risk of increasing intervention by world powers. This leads to a generalization of war and a very dangerous escalation in the Middle East, the Sahel and Eastern Europe. As we can see, not only is there a risk of war, but civil liberties in our Western Europe are also in serious danger given the alignment of our countries with the NATO bloc. This is the worst possible scenario for meeting the challenges facing humanity this century: climate change, energy crisis and the sixth major extinction event in the history of the planet. However, although the situation is very serious, we understand that the role of a revolutionary organization is to prepare the revolution. In Europe, no one represents the possibilities of social change better than the working class (whether native or immigrant) in Germany. We are aware that our ideas do not yet have leadership in our society, but we are aware that it is the class struggle that is the driving force for any change. That's why we encourage you to lead the way on the important challenges that lie ahead. To do this, it is essential to design a roadmap, a strategy, that will enable us to navigate these rough seas. For the triumph of libertarian communism Long live the platform! Luchar, crear, poder popular!" This year, UCL - our sister organization in France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland - also held its second congress on the same weekend. Unfortunately, a planned joint video conference from congress to congress had to be canceled because the weekend was very work-intensive for both organizations. Despite everything, we did not miss the opportunity to send a greeting to our comrades, which we have already published. In summary, we can look back on a very nice congress weekend. The delegates from the local groups returned to their homeland exhausted but motivated. At this point, a big thank you again to our comrades from the Berlin local group who organized the congress! Although there is certainly still room for improvement in many respects, it was a weekend that gives us hope that we can continue to build a stable, long-term active anarchist organization. An organization that gives us the basis to push forward and support the work for the self-organization of the oppressed and the building of counter-power from below even more in the coming months and years. If you want to be part of this path, part of a supra-regional, class struggle anarchist federation, then join us! Moving forward on the rocky path, we can more than use every person who wants to move forward with us and ask questions. Long live the anarcha-communist federation! Long live the platform! Moving forward together towards free communism!
