Last January 12th, Tommaso Aversa (Rome 19/03/1953 - Rome 12/01/2024)
lost the affection of his companions, friends and family. ---- Since
1971 he has been in the C. Cafiero Anarchist Group in Garbatella, a
historical structure of the anarchist movement. ---- him He collaborated
in the editorial staff of the weekly magazine Umanità Nova in Via dei
Taurini in the S. Lorenzo district in the seventies and beyond. Present
at the counter-information on the Piazza Fontana massacre and the
assassination of Pinelli, he participated in the liberation campaign for
Valpreda, Bagnoli and the other suspects and subsequently for Giovanni
Marini. He founded the Popular Library of the OAR (Anarchist
Organization) with Fabio Iacopucci in 1973.

automatic reductions of the telephone, the Cooperativa Libraria di
Distribuzione between 1972 and 1976, together with others he
participated in the project for the creation of a radio in Rome.
In the 1990s he participated in the foundation of the Bakunin Circle,
whose experience culminated in the creation of the Libertaria magazine.
Sensitive to international events and a passionate scholar, Tommaso is
the protagonist in Garbatella of the creation of the Spazio Anarchico 19
Luglio. The Cafiero thus doubled in size in 2011 with the reactivation
of the popular library dedicated to Fabio Iacopucci in 2018.
Last January 15th Tommaso crossed the Garbatella neighborhood for the
last time, stopped in the places where he lived, in front of the Spazio
Anarchico 19 Luglio and continued to the historic headquarters in via
Vettor Fausto 3, at the entrance to Lot 13 , under the plaque of the
Carlo Cafiero Anarchist Group.
