2023 we have activated numerous initiatives to manage the repeated
threats of eviction and closure of the Anarchist Space 19 July
perpetrated on a monthly or bimonthly basis and such authoritarian
methods, to date, have proven anachronistic and debilitating for those
who are practicing them. We have gone through these months without any
hesitation, strong in our reasons and above all in the concrete,
tenacious and continuous solidarity put in place around our group, the
communication activated to inform and support us: meetings, assemblies,
sit-ins, press releases, interviews, meetings, concerts, exhibitions,
subscriptions, articles, posters, lunches, aperitifs, up to greetings
and solidarity breakfasts. We have activated the subscription campaign
"The Anarchist Space 19 July does not close" which has allowed us to
support extraordinary expenses to date. We are also continuing our
ordinary self-managed activities with conventions, conferences, book
presentations, film screenings, theatrical, musical and cinematographic
initiatives, the distribution of libertarian and anarchist press and
publishing in various languages, local and international solidarity
projects.

The next appointment is scheduled for December 2024 with the repeated
insistence to close ourselves and we hope to end the year by crossing
this obstacle once again and jump straight to 2025 when we will
certainly celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the birth of our group.
The C. Cafiero anarchist group was founded in 1945 in Garbatella, a
handful of months after the liberation from Nazi-fascism on April 25,
when its inauguration was announced in that small cellar in via Vettor
Fausto 3, in lot 13 belonging to ATER Roma (formerly IACP), and it took
place during a conference of anti-fascist anarchists dedicated to Carlo
Cafiero.

Generations, groups, collectives, associations, editorial offices of
newspapers and magazines, theater companies and musical groups, artists,
poets have passed through the Cafiero group, a microcosm in the heart of
this neighborhood connected with the self-managed and self-organized
cultural and political experiences in the struggles of the international
anti-authoritarian movement in a concrete perspective of freedom and
solidarity from below in Italy and in other parts of the world.
The Anarchist Space 19 July in via Rocco da Cesinale 16,18 (lot 60) was
born in 2011, always in Garbatella, to give more space and voice to our
initiatives and in particular to the project of a popular library
dedicated to Fabio Iacopucci and an anarchist archive built with the
voluntary contribution of the participants and inspired by Tommaso
Aversa. The cultural events were strictly self-organized with free
subscription and all operated free of charge. Free of charge and at a
low cost, the labor and materials were made available for the renovation
and ten-year maintenance of the premises that had remained open and
abandoned in decay for about 25 years. From 2011 to today, the Anarchist
Space 19 July has also hosted libertarian pedagogy workshops,
condominium meetings, art workshops, art exhibitions, gift and barter
markets, solidarity and union help desks, interviews, book crossing,
etc. The Cafiero archive and library project has finally taken shape in
recent years and is a research site open to the neighborhood also
frequented by scholars and graduates. In addition to preserving books
and documents belonging to or donated to the Cafiero Group, the
Anarchist Space 19 July is hosting in its library funds also belonging
to more recently dated private collections.
Finally, we update you that Ater Roma (formerly IACP Istituto Autonomo
Case Popolari) has continued not to respond to our requests in recent
months, therefore we invite all charitable organizations, associations,
collectives, and the media to not lose their attention and to continue
supporting the campaign The Anarchist Space 19 July does not close by
donating to the Cultural Association 19 July IBAN

extraordinary expenses that we are sustaining against the eviction and
also, in opposition and in response to the wear and tear and
authoritarian flattening, we thought of relaunching all our activities
in self-management. The challenge is ambitious and is called Amplify
Self-Management! Amplify Anarchy! and will include a fundraiser to
realize new projects that we will report on shortly. In short, as usual,
