Ahmet Atakan, a 22-year old man from Armutlu, Hatay, was killed by the Turkish police today. Ahmet was shot in the head with a tear gas canister from very close range. This is the sixth murder since the beginning of the Gezi Park protests. His tragic death will most likely spark more protests all over the country in the coming days, after neighborhoods of Ankara and Istanbul, and the cities of Antakya, Adana, Izmir and Esiksehir were already submerged by massive protests during the last couple of days.
