With lots of organization, sweat, blood and direct action , hundreds of workers, laborers,
students of the Federal University of Paran? in conjunction with numerous other SUS users
are managing to mark the history of the struggle for quality public health in the state of
Paran?. ---- On August 28, 2014, the day marked by a lot of police brutality , several
strokes of the representatives of the dominant class and (Rectory and bourgeois media) and
criminalization of the movement to fight in defense of the Hospital de Clinicas , lost a
battle but not the war. ---- Since 2012, the academic community and UFPR SUS users have
fought several battles against the Federal Government and the Dean of UFPR to bar the
entry of Brazilian Hospital Services, Ebserh , which is synonymous with privatization of
health. From there, with the victories of the oppressed class, repression and
criminalization of the movement fighting only intensified.
We argue that the criticism of Ebserh is made from a referendum in which all Paran?
population can vote. For who work, study and uses the hospital should decide.
Representative democracy and privatization are not solutions!
With organization, tactics and strategy we can prevent a vote that privatizing measured by
the University Council (which has 63 councilors who even use SUS) three times this year.
But this time, even with so much police brutality, which ensured the vote was one
'unlawful and unfair' ploy Rectory: the vote was made by speaker phone from the Rector.
The movement to fight in defense of the HC ensured that did not enter the required number
of councilors to vote as ruse tried to do it by video conference, but as the power was
cut, decided by the privatization of the largest public hospital in the Paran? per cell.
In response, the movement stood in front of the Administration Building of the Rectory to
demand that the vote be annulled and the armed wing of the state showed its teeth. With
rubber bullets, tear gas, pepper spray and a lot of police brutality could see what the
"top" do when the "low" move and fight.
Not only that, around 8:30 am, the companion PSTU Nicolas Pacheco , 18, who was joining
forces in the fight, was kidnapped and kept in private jail by federal police. within the
Rectory Building Administration spent more than 5 hours handcuffed, police suffering and
powerless threats even talk to a lawyer. The companion was taken to jail and the federal
police was accused by the resistance, defiance and illegal constraint crimes.
In a report conducted by the PRC-TV is clear that such accusations are misplaced (see
video below). As you can see, Nicolas was grabbed from behind and under the effect of tear
gas, can not present any resistance, as has been charged. Another accusation was that he
would have tried disarming the police; as a militant alone could disarm a contingent of at
least eight policemen who were approaching the?!

At dawn on Friday, 29, after the efforts of motion and full disclosure of political prison
legal body, Nicolas was released.
What we see is another episode of protesters being criminalized for fighting. Again social
movements are being brutally criminalized. PROTEST IS NOT CRIME!
All the arbitrariness of COUN , the fact that there was no disclosure of the exact to
start location session, the quorum has been validated even with counselors since not all
in the same place and the vote was being conducted via cell phone, further demonstrate the
undemocratic position of Rector of this university toucan.
The Front for the Fight To Not Lose HC will enter the 'Justice' claiming the illegitimacy
of this vote and requiring its invalidation. However, we should not simply rely on such
roads because we know who the service is Judiciary. need to keep us mobilized to defend
public health and fight against the privatization of the Hospital de Clinicas. The fight
is not over! Next week we need to prevent the legitimization of privatization of the HC,
which is scheduled to happen in COPLAD (Council for Planning and Administration).
Surrounding SOLIDARITY TO THE FIGHT!
REFERENDUM NOW!
We withdrew NOT FIGHT!
HEALTH IS NOT MERCHANDISE!
PROTEST IS NOT CRIME!
