(en) Brazil, COLETIVO QUEBRANDO MUROS - [TERP-RS] Report of activity "Moral Harassment in Public School: What we students have to do with it" ( pt)

 [machine translation]

Took place on September 2nd in Academic Board of the Faculty of Education (DAFE) UFRGS a
wheel of debate on the topic " Moral Harassment in Public School: What we students have to
do with it." The activity was attended university, high school students and teacher(s)
teaching the state and the municipality of Porto Alegre. ---- In the debate we hear the
experiences of those who suffered and suffers daily with bullying in schools by school
directions, whether in the context of everyday work situations is the struggle of the
workers of education; the role of the organization of workers and the labor movement in
addressing such violence and the importance of this debate for us students, education
workers in future training. Issues such as occupational health, the lack of democratic
management of schools and the virtual absence of political and trade union training in the
curricula of the undergraduate students were related to bullying others discussed during
the activity elements.

We also need to highlight the important role of high school students in the activity which
allowed talk about bullying they suffer and the importance of the joint organization of
students and teachers in the state face violence and authoritarian directions and in
defense of their rights. Accordingly, we discussed the outstanding alumni of the school as
a means of organizing high school students in dealing with this question paper.

We believe this wheel debate played an important role as initial tip foot to put the
graduate in question and that further discussions need to be organized (and will!). We
thank DAFE for space and for their participation, the participation of students and
teachers who contributed to the debate and left an invitation to you to join students in
the forthcoming discussions.

Being a teacher and not fighting is a pedagogical contradiction!

Be education worker training and fighting is not graduating in half!
