FOR ANARCHIST FEDERATION OF THE CARIBBEAN by Kisqueya
libertaria (Dominican Republic) and Alfredo L?pez libertarian
Workshop (Cuba) (fr, pt) [machine translation]
I. The Caribbean has been one of the preferred scenarios where the so-called modernity, an
explosive blend of capitalism and statism, showed its less presentable to the world faces.
This persistent and well laid barbarism, between Spanish imperial agents, English, French,
Dutch ... gave birth after several centuries, to an island isolated world, attentive to
the signals of the old and new colonial powers, and castrated in many cases without even
having the ability to talk to each other without the guardian mediators.
The second half of the twentieth century brought the Caribbean enthusiasm generated by
decolonization and the "sovereign states", which basically worked by creating a new stage
for an isolation that has faded in recent years, apparently because alliances between
Caribbean States. But in any case, it is the union of the rulers of service that we offer
what they call "the unity of the people". It was not, it was not, except in rare and
beautiful occasions, an alliance of concrete fraternities of persons united in the ideal
liberating and anti-authoritarian work.
II.
Fellow Kiskeya libertaria Dominican area and libertarian workshop Alfredo L?pez Havana,
decided to unite their efforts to convene and organize an Anarchist Federation in the
Caribbean, to share proposals here and now for a society based on the principles we stand
for self-management of voluntary association and mutual support, and contrary to all
social relations based on hierarchies, authoritarianism and discrimination as statism,
capitalism, the classicism, sexism, racism, colonialism, urbanism, industrialism or
academicism and countless other manifestations of power more or less institutionalized.
Given this network of domination are also opposed our response made ??of support,
self-management and solidarity and with a clear anti-authoritarian and libertarian spirit.
This unifying project will not advance the promotion of a particular form of anarchism,
because we do not see in any of its current anarchism as a dogma, but as a movement of
approach, open learning and wanting to go to the world we want without oppression, without
exploitation, without sacred authority nor paralyzing orders.
In this regard, the Federation will work for solidarity and self-management and to build
cooperation projects between individuals and the groups that define themselves
consistently as "anarchists", but it will do so also with all those who preach without a
condition acrate live and work every day, at all levels of society, under this liberating
fraternal spirit and deed, where there are no pastors, no cattle, nor rulers, nor directed.
III.
define the limits of the Caribbean was a difficult problem, if one takes into account the
knowledge in the social sciences. However, for us it is not a problem but an opportunity.
The Caribbean is not only formed by the islands, either by the adjacent mainland
territories, the Caribbean where there are those who live their contradictions and
inequalities and suffers. But it is also where the friends and companions who share their
thoughts, feelings and struggles.
Consequently, those who animate the Anarchist Federation of the Caribbean we will endeavor
to seek integration with the companions of the central region - American, born in 2010
when the first unifying momentum that we know of in Central America and the Caribbean,
through the compass of the Collective and its journal La Espiral La Libertad , in the city
of San Jose, Costa Rica.
D'eux we must take care to hear the details. To achieve a unifying process at the regional
level "it is important to first strengthen the training process and local awareness and
their implications in a libertarian practice and with a state of libertarian spirit", but
as they themselves point out, regional federation can be a "means to energize and
strengthen our identity (...) always keeping feet firmly grounded in reality" ("Anarchism
in Central America: a small current radiography." In: La Libertad , No. 11-12, San Jose,
Costa Rica in December 2010, p.10).
anarchism What sense does it in our region ...? What are the possibilities ...? What are
its limitations and difficulties ...? Here are some of the questions we were left by the
Central American compass there four years and could be discussed by the process of
meetings in each locality as a basis for the further commitment of the regional organization.
What we dream is escorted by the splendor of any "objective possibility", but unlike
others, negotiating fragments disfigured our ideals, putting them into hibernation for
better times, we can move beyond this we already know. With a good chance, we imagine the
effort required of all kinds that can be turned into ene affection and mutual trust, to
convert them into a stronger alliance factors, which can grow more sure our federal efforts.
To this, we propose the implementation in March 2015 in the Dominican area of the first
constituent meeting of the FAC-C. [Central America] (tentative name) of individuals and
"delegates" collective acrates of the region, which is the starting point to compare
points of view and coordinate actions, ideas and inputs from the themes that emerge in
group in each locality.
