On 30/5, the "Social Alliance", ie the cooperation of the GSEE and ADEDY regime-employers
confederations with a series of employers' professional associations (GSBEE, ESEE, TEE,
Economic Chamber, Plenary of the Bar Associations, Panhellenic Medical Association,
Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association, Supreme General Confederation of Pensioners) call
for a "National Day of Action" in the form of a nationwide "strike" and central
demonstrations. At the same time, the 4th evaluation was closed at the technical level,
which puts the principal pensions, salaries, sectoral collective agreements, social
benefits and labor rights on the necklaces. It will be ratified in the forthcoming
Eurogroup on 26/6, while on 21/6 the continuation of fiscal surveillance will be discussed.

The "National Day of Action" is another reminder of the bankruptcy and the failure to sell
GSEE and ADEDY to the demands of local and international capital. The political framework
of this demonstration is the reconciliation of workers and bosses. It is an act of
ratification and promotion of the peace order in the general sense of national consensus.
This initiative strengthens the bourgeois narrative about the passage of responsibility
for class bleeding from the bottom to the stricken strata themselves, openly advocating
the continuation of sacrifices on the social basis to save the national economy and
promote entrepreneurship. Once again, in the face of the narrative of growth and national
salvation, oppressed and exploited are going to pay entirely the broken capitalists.

It is at least cynical to call this striking mobilization called by the so-called "Social
Alliance" strike. The strike is a weapon for the workers to defend their interests, to
expand their rights, to extract even a piece of the wealth they produce, but they enjoy
others. The strike, to be considered as such, has a clear class sign. It is not called
upon by bosses to promote their interests. And something unfamiliar to the professional
trade unionists, the bureaucrats and the aspirations of the political scene: The strike is
not a formal obligation of no importance or a means of voting. It is, among other things,
one of the tools the working class has to paralyze the productive process (demonstrating
that it is the laborers who are the ones driving the productive process with their labor,
those who produce everything and get only crumbs), a powerful a weapon that can play a
catalytic role in the revolutionary process and the social expropriation of the means of
production for self-management. The sold out trade unionists of GSEE and ADEDY have the
audacity to talk about a strike when they were sneaking indifferent, when among the
prerequisites of the 3rd evaluation, which were voted in favor, was the substantial
abolition of the strike as a precondition for a strike by Primary Unions now have the
approval of 50% + 1 of registered members, instead of the current guarantee of the
majority of members present at the general assembly of the association. This arrangement
typically makes it impossible to declare strikes, generously offering the bosses the
"gift" of the unimpeded - from the mobilizations of the workers - the extraction of
surplus value. This means that in the face of employers' arbitrariness, intensified and
flexible working relationships, but also in the face of economic exploitation, the
militant trade union response will have lost one of its most important tools: the strike.

On 30/5 we sabotage the deliberations of peace order and national unity. We show
disobedience to the suggestions of the bosses away from the feast of the urbanized
workers' confederations. We strengthen the community of our class interests through
uninterrupted action and self-organization in the workplace, with a solid link to
solidarity and mutual assistance among the people of our class.

In order not to live as slaves and not to beg for beggars, we must organize our social and
class counter-attack against state and capital. We should be organized into grassroots
societies, while bureaucratic-trade unionism is a hindrance to labor struggles because it
is a pole of orderly peace and consensus in social and labor extermination policies while
at the same time partisan "professional trade unionists" are being maintained and
political career by aspiring creatures on the backs of the workers. To make unionism
intransigent and militant, dangerous for bosses, general strikes, lasting and not
spectacular rifles in the air to complete trade union duty.

Against the barbarity of modern totalitarianism, through the unconditional social and
class organization and counter-attack from the base, without leaders and representatives,
the transformation of existing productive and social relations passes through the
destruction of the state and capitalism through the social revolution. To make a world for
everyone and not for a few. A world where everyone will produce according to their
capabilities and will receive according to their needs. A world where human exploitation
by man, human nature and the power of man on man will cease. We are struggling for a
society of universal emancipation, freedom, equality and solidarity,

Charles had his birthday. Wish and flower? No, I'd rather take a look. ---- The beginning
of this May was commemorated two hundred years after the birth of Karl Marx. In his
hometown in Trier, Germany, where he spent the first seventeen years of his life, he
revealed a statue of great glory, emphasizing the fact that he did not need to take the
big figures of the past seriously, even with his figure decorating the traffic lights in
the city. Red Marx means stop! Our anti-Communists, who have noticed that ordinary people
worry about things other than alleged disagreements with the past, have come to terms with
the supposed reaction that can be summed up in the shouting "Red Marx means". ---- How
about two centuries since someone's birth can the relationship to him be so controversial?
How about celebrating his anniversary in the West, while two minutes of hatred are
celebrated in our country? What, in fact, brought the world positive and what did it do?
Why do you need to make such a scarecrow? And how do these anarchists stand up to this
personality, which today's mixture of frightened extremists, natives and falcons of all
kinds, including Archbishop Dominique Duke, belongs to a box of "neo-Marxists" who are
easily able to snap anyone who comes up with some progressive ideas?

Karel Marx was primarily a social scientist. Until today, no textbook of economics,
sociology or philosophy is available. As a philosopher he develops the materialist
conception of the world and history. We see its greatest importance in the description of
the functioning of the capitalist system, wage labor, exploitation, class divisions of
society, and other manifestations of social ordering, in which virtually everything is
governed by the needs of capital.

Marx continued to write down the history of the workers' movement as an organizer and a
theorist. With their colleague Bedrich Engels they wrote a well-known Communist Manifesto
in 1848 . Whoever read it certainly found out that most of the ten requests of the
manifest had already been more or less filled.

Marx then had a significant say in the First Workers' International, which formed the
policy of workers' political parties and various directions of the workers' movement.
There was also a confrontation between Marx and the most liberal of workers' movements -
the anarchists. They did not find common ground. Although the anarchists appreciated
Marx's analysis of capitalist order, they could no longer agree with his insights, which
were selflessly leaning on their theory of inevitable history. But he did not describe
reality, but he confused concepts with impressions.

The Workers' Movement accepted socialism for its demand. His different currents, however,
have been interpreted by him as differently as the paths to him. The Social Democrats came
out of the idea of seizing power through parliamentary channels and improving the lives of
the working people through gradual reforms. However, their struggle ended soon that the
newly-created "working class nobility" had assembled their asses for parliamentary chairs
and actually enjoyed the status quo, that is, things are the way they are, and there is no
need to change them, especially to be sure.

A more radical stream desiring to grasp power, followed by a "dictatorship of the
proletariat" led by enlightened party leadership, gained great influence after the Russian
Revolution of 1917. The Bolshevik leadership, in the first place, stripped all opposition
within the workers' movement, quite violently. Ignorance of the true nature of such a
system has led the workers into the arms of the Communist parties around the world, some
of whom have been able to take power in their own countries and prepare all, including
those whose rights they allegedly were building, for freedom.

The anarchists represented those desires of workers who did not look only after dealing
with their exploiters and the certainty of their work, but also after the free, all-round
development of oneself in a society where any unnatural authority and hierarchy is being
destroyed. It is no wonder that colleagues are "socialists" and communists, including
Marx, so hate, slander, and bloody persecution when they came to power.

After the economic crisis of 2008, Karl Marx's work began to be popular again, especially
because, despite considerable time span, it probably corresponded best with what was
happening with the capitalist economy. Rather than accepting (though critically) the tools
that Marx has access to the economy, we must constantly read and listen to what a criminal
was. And whoever looks at him, the coma blows. In fact, Marx can not do what his followers
have done in his name, who often often misrepresent his thoughts. It is the same as to
attribute to Jesus the genocide of the Indians, the burning of "witches", or the Duke's
klero-fascist speeches.

Do not be afraid! Fear is the brother of ignorance. And with frightened and unconscious
individuals it is best manipulated. The fact that we, the anarchists, Marx do not have to
do twice, does not mean we can not take anything from his analysis of capitalism, just as
we take some of Jesus' love for our neighbor (unlike some bigot Christians).

On Saturday 19th May we undertook a picket of Youngs estate agency in Kemptown, as part of
our ongoing campaign in support of a tenant, Patrick, who is being evicted by one of their
landlords because he asked for necessary repairs to his flat to be undertaken, and because
he demanded payment, as agreed, for repair work he had already done. Before the picket
began, we entered the shop to inform the owner, David Pay, that the picket would be taking
place, and to give him the opportunity to open negotiations toward a settlement of the
dispute. Had he done so, we would have postponed the picket, as we explained to him.
Instead of entering into dialogue, however, Mr Pay proceeded to physically assault one of
our members, as can be seen in the video below. Mr Pay went on to attempt a second assault
not long after this one.

The aggravation of the capitalist overaccumulation crisis has, among other things,
generated several belligerent zones, scattered across the globe and across the globe (see
Ukraine, the Middle East, Central and North Africa) surrounding the capitalist centers.
Capitalist barbarism does not leave the sun in fate for the poor and the oppressed.
Sovereignty is now shaping the terms by which it is the rough sorting of who will survive
and who will not. The transition from the social-democratic management of social recession
through the use of loan money and the use of the financial sphere, in fierce neoliberalism
and fiscal surveillance is in line with the aggressive reconstruction of capital at the
global level in demanding the demands imposed by the now worsening market economy.
Similarly, the state apparatus is proceeding with emergency measures and suppression of
the internal enemy, while the Western metropolises are militarized using as a pretext the
migratory flows and the campaign against terrorism.

The irreconcilable internal contradictions of capitalism, which once again contributed to
the explosion of a structural crisis, bring to the forefront one of the strong papers that
the ruling class is supposed to throw in such cases. This paper is war, as it is a way out
of capital from the capitalist crisis, but also a golden opportunity for the enrichment of
the arsenals. The price, of course, is to pay for it, with both their pocket and their
blood, where they are oppressed and exploited. War is an advantageous solution for capital
when it is in deadlock. It can open up new markets, new business opportunities through the
insatiable exploitation of the raw materials and the working hands of the areas in the eye
of the cyclone. Also, after the period of a generalized disaster, which is destroying both
parts of the fixed (production) and the variable (labor) workers, there is always a period
of developmental capital reconstruction, even though it is based on debris and corpses. As
mentioned above, of course, war is an ongoing reality at the moment. However, it is
carried out by delegates and at least has not hit the door of the "West". war is an

Greece ranks second in the ranking of the NATO countries with the largest military
expenditure proportionally to their GNP. Every year, Greece's military spending is
estimated at 2.4% of GDP (surpassing the 2% threshold set by the Alliance at its 2006
summit), amounting to 4.5 billion dollars. Armaments costs are at the top of the state
budget's priorities, while the social majority is being wiped out by the austerity
policies mandated by the memorandums. Indeed, the memorandum commitments stipulate that
the country's international economic authority will keep at least until 2060.

As a member of NATO and as an organic part of the chariot of Euro-Atlantic imperialism,
the role of the overseer (the second after Israel) of the respective interests in the
eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans has been indicated in the Greek state. This,
however, means that, albeit in the alternative, the Greek state will be involved, to the
extent that it owes it, to the geopolitical rivalries and warfare involving its patrons.
It is certain, however, that the domestic bourgeoisie will seek to get as much as possible
from the pie shared in its neighborhood. At the moment, the local bourgeoisie seeks to
make Greece an energy hub in the Eastern Mediterranean and a channel for the transport of
natural gas and electricity to the European Union. This translates the alliance between
Greece, Cyprus, Israel and Egypt, as, apart from the military alliances and exercises
defined by this transnational agreement, as well as the US recommendations. and NATO,
which are actually behind it, the construction of the East Med gas pipeline and the
Euro-Asia Interconnector to transport electricity to the countries of the European Union.

NATO-led plans seek to "plant" military bases in the Greek territory, preparing for the
upgrading of conflicts in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. At the same time,
the militarization of the NATO countries is also a demonstration of power in order to tear
the teeth to the Russian agent, who is the main enemy of the United States. from the BRICS
axis (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). The instability of US-Turkey relations
(recently Turkey has announced that Incirlik's base will cease to serve NATO) is upgrading
Greece's geostrategic importance for NATO, because NATO is now called upon to find new
points for its military activities. The Andravida airbase (which was held in March 2018 by
the Hanoi warfare) and Araxos' counterpart (there is a possibility of nuclear
resettlement) will be upgraded. In Larissa, a drones base will be created, while in
Alexandroupolis the construction of a helicopter base is planned. For Syros, NATO's design
stipulates the conversion of the port of Ermoupolis to a strategic point where the US Navy
ships will be repaired and refitted. In his recent visit to Greece, US Ambassador Jeffrey
Paith said that shipyards in Neorion of Syros should be purchased by a company belonging
to a NATO member state, which is why there is also interest from the US .. At the same
time, talks are being made to rebuild the port of Ermoupolis to allow large ships of the
armed forces of the United States to be moored. Lastly, the Ministry of Defense issued a
proposal to the US Embassy to promote the construction of a large heliport in a flat islet
near Kalymnos, which will serve the parking and supply of American helicopters. It is now
clear in the most obvious way that the Greek state provides generous edification to the
suggestions dictated by US military plans. and NATO, with the country becoming the base of

The oppressed and exploited, in whatever part of the map we are, do not have to divide
anything between us. We must perceive the community of our class interests and on this
basis organize our counter-attack against those who oppress us and live by our labor. We
are not going to fight for the interests of local and international bosses, we will not
fight for any homeland, nor turn the gun barrels to the proletarians of the other
countries, from which they try to divide us by any artificial means the masters, any
available solvent of class consciousness (eg nation, border, religion).
In the event of war the world proletariat will be what will be forced to initiate the war
machines of the capitalists by paying the price to the lives of people in our class. The
clouds of a war of widespread warfare seem to be thickening and the involvement of the
Greek state in NATO's military plans is deepening. The recent bombing of Damascus and Homs
by British Air Force, France and the US Air Force involved a ship sailing from Suda's base
and airfreight aircraft that took off from the same base.
Today, it is necessary to set up an anti-war movement on the basis of internationalist,
class solidarity. Part of this framework is the army's sabotage, as well as the refusal of
the proletarians to serve in the ranks of the armed forces. Based on the Greek reality,
this movement must have a clear anti-NATO character, but it does not fall into the trap of
supporting imperialist forces that are considered "less damaging" on the grounds that they
are a rival awe to US imperialism. In order not to flatter us, then, a global warfare
triggered by the needs of the capitalists, we ought now and now to change the power
correlations in the ensuing social and class conflict. Our response to the war-wreck of
global state and capitalist barbarism must be the global social revolution with the aim of
unleashing the slave layers from the slumber of state power and the capitalist
exploitation of human labor. In the next critical shift in class struggle, we must have
set up our revolutionary infrastructures so that we can cast on the terms of historical
realization, the creative paper of anarchism, the social organization on the foundations
of libertarian communism.

Fifty years after the biggest general strike in the country, many books come back,
unsurprisingly, on the events. The silence of the PCF and the CGT is, in this swarming
editorial, particularly edifying ! The great trend is to local and popular history which
offers a deep renewal of historiography, centered on the Parisian leaders and engraved in
the collective memory by Hamon and Rotman with Génération. Here are nine of these books.
---- Génération, published in Le Seuil in two volumes between 1987 and 1988 wrote the
official history of the extreme left of the post-war period to the victory of the Union of
the Left in 81. From dream years to powder years , from the terrorist drift to the
electoral outlet. The TV documentary (15x30 minutes) that accompanied the release of
Volume 2 has shaped a long-term vision and the centrality of avant-garde organizations and
their leaders. The book remains an essential reference but very focused on the history of
some student leaders and the Latin Quarter.

Generation or period ?
For fifty years, many works go beyond and give voice to young people, workers, women,
provincials. To those who have made the daily reality of " events ". Omar Gueye's book
[1]even makes it possible to recall that the movement in Senegal was just as powerful as
it is here. This is unfortunately one of the few books that gives a clear view of the
global movement. For the sixty years of May '68 publishers may allow historians to study
more seriously what happened, country by country, in those years. But for this year you
will have to accept that France remains the center of a world where the bottom of the air
was red.

Let's be honest if you choose to read a book published recently, it's the 1968 Ludivine
Bantigny [2]that you need. For three reasons: a real work as a historian, with
considerable counting of archives, notament of the police. Multiple angles: students,
peasants, workers, women, bosses, trade unionists, Gaullists, leftists, Stalinists ... all
with a sharp and coherent political reading. Ludivine is already known for her
anti-imperialist, feminist and anti-racist commitments, but this book will be a landmark
in both research circles and militant circles.

If the works on Lyon and Marseille [3]help to finally decenter our gaze fixed on the
courtyard of the Sorbonne, rue Soufflot and Ulm, the May 68 by those who have lived [4]is
an editorial adventure uncommon since dozens of anonymous stories, in a few lines or
pages, their personal memories. Generation requires, the majority of the testimony is the
fact of high school students, students and called to military service. But from all
regions. With so many teachers, there are also workers, children, housewives and trade
unionists. All accompanied by many photos of amateurs. Note that Médiapart takes over and
publishes hundreds of testimonials that were not retained in the large paper volume. If
the book will not serve you as a political compass, it will immerse you very usefully in
the atmosphere of that year !

The little hands of the general strike
The 68 of The Discovery [5]will not be more a compass. Deliberately pluralistic, it deals
with the years 62-81 by cutting, without originality, the period in four phases 62/68 -
May 68 - 68/74 and 74/81. Each sequence opens with a detailed historical reminder and
follows various political testimonies.

On a larger sequence, from the post-war period to the present day, an old LCR activist
delivers to L'Harmattan [6]a punctilious study of the history of groups of extreme left,
Trotskyists, Maoists, anarchists, autonomous. The book, although politically oriented, is
a mine for the passionate of the history of each current and group, debates and splits
that have crossed. Necessarily each protagonist of this feverish story will complain that
such a point has been underestimated or that aspect forgotten. And the author sometimes
struggles to take the height of reflection on this small world he describes. Nevertheless
the book is probably an unequal sum of information. The weakest part is obviously the one
that it dedicates to the autonomous ones that we will therefore look for in Libertalia
which publishes a collection of testimonials nicely titled Voyage in addition left [7].
Useful to understand the state of mind of a fraction of the student youth, the role played
in a few places by the situationists, it leaves to see the political limits of those who
do not go beyond the poetics of the riot as a political orientation and a social project.
To seize the spirit, it is necessary to read with happiness the re-edition by Libertalia
of the little story of Peuchmaurd published hot in the autumn of 68 [8]. With an elegant
and dreamy writing, he gives us the vision, at the edge of the Parisian barricades, of a
rioter. And his detestation of revolutionary organizations.

Avant-garde against vanguard
Thus, the anniversary of May 1968 draws a line, without much admitting it, over a period
marked by the clash between the PCF and the revolutionary parties for the leadership of
the proletariat. A new period opens slowly on the ruins of the Berlin Wall. Many
understand that we must end once and for all with the conception of the party-guide and
seek, even confusedly, to put back the direct democracy in the functioning of
organizations as of society. Spring will be libertarian communist !
