10 years after the Rebellion of December and the hundreds of school occupations that gave
birth ... to keep the flame lit in the schools ---- NO RELATIONSHIP TO NATIONALS AND
MINIANGULAR ANTILLIPSES ---- The December uprising is engraved in the memories of the
many thousands who lived it, and is a symbol of resistance for the younger men mentioned
in it. It began as an angry response to the murder of the 15-year old student Alexandros
Grigoropoulos at the junction of Tzavella and Mesolongiou streets in Exarchia by the
special guards E.Corconea and V.Saraliotis. A murder that came as a corollary to the
aggravated state aggression against the struggles of that period. ---- The December
uprising is for us all an inspirational place, a point that we perceived what can happen
when society takes the situation in its hands and resists , a focal point for our
politicization and action , a historic moment of conflict with the its dominant class and
its minions.
We were the students who understood the schools , who, along with thousands of others,
protested with the same anger, that we had come to the road for a long time and learned
that only through our struggles can we claim that we belong to it. Students who stayed for
weeks in schools and demonstrated each day. We were the students who had shut down
thousands of schools , which transformed the amphitheater into fields of fermentation,
exchange of views, into cells of politicization. We were the teachers who stood as
comrades and comrades side by side with our students and we ate together the wood and
police tear gas. We were all down the road, collide with the police, we were occupying
state buildings. Those who have learned to gain fear , overcome inertia and defeatism
because we knew we had others at our side and that we were right. We were the ones who
later came back on the road to the anti-social bills of governments. Those who have once
again experienced state violence and repression because we have stood up against state
and capitalist barbarism, in memorials, in anti-labor and anti-social bills, in law
enforcement.
We are the ones who continue to struggle on every front , trying to overthrow the
barbarity surrounding us. In schools and schools against class barriers, mergers and
abolitions, the Gavroglu bill, the degradation of our conditions of study and life, the

The "Macedonian" issue was the occasion for the assembly of the various nationalist groups
and the organization of nationalist rallies. In the last year, a series of fascist-jerking
attacks on immigrants, fighters, squats and self-managed combat venues have taken place,
culminating in the arson of occupation of Libertatia by a group of fascists who
co-operated with a football club hooligan, with apparent police coverage .

The re-emergence of the Macedonian issue was a rare opportunity for every kind of
nationalist and fascist dwelling to take a place in public speech and to try to promote
its murderous political plans. The January nationalist rallies in Thessaloniki and Athens
served this very purpose. It became apparent to the most naive, that the supposedly
uncomplicated and non-political character of the rallies, advertised with so much
diligence by the media, was simply a sheep that underneath it hid the beast - and as it
turned out it did not take him much to feel certain and to reveal his real face. Somehow,
the useful idiots turned into dangerous idiots. It is obvious that several trends in the
far-right and nationalist space consider the time for a parliamentary party of the far
right beyond the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn. But it is also obvious that the ideology of
national unity that seeks to instill reconciliation with class and social inequality and
oppression does not only benefit these circles but almost all of the sovereignty, as the
spread of the nationalistic poison breaks the social basis and distracts it from its real
problems and interests, especially during periods of capitalist crisis.
For years we have from this side of the border the absurd requirement that the Greek state
in predominantly opposite to the name of another nation-state, which unfortunately is
based on socially important part of Greek society. A requirement now tempered by the EU's
desire to include the Republic of Macedonia within the NATO and the need to extend its
sphere of influence. On the other side of the border we see a growing nationalism which
aims to create and consolidate their own "national myth" and often gets completely
ridiculous forms, but clearly neither little more ridiculous than the "own" our
nationalism. A look at the photos of the two rallies confirms the verdict.
For us the name of the neighboring country is of no importance. But what we care about is
that this story has been a cause that the fascists have exploited to legitimize their
presence in the center of our city, that it was a push to spread the most mischievous,
detestable and murderous ideology that has come to pass never mankind. On Saturday, one of
the city's nationalist guerillas attempts to grab this "opportunity" again by calling for
a fascist gathering and march in Thessaloniki.

through the Macedonian, we have seen it temporarily succeed.

out of schools. But we also saw the student community reacting to the rhetoric of hatred,
which is so thoroughly reproduced by fascists and the media; to block nationalist
occupations, often made without a collective decision by the student communities, by a
group of nationalist students apparently motivated by those fascists who thought that the
Macedonian is a first-rate opportunity to infect students' minds with hatred.
Whosoever intends not to stand fast as fascists turn our cities, squares, our schools into
places that we all and all of us do not fit in. The world of the struggle, the exploited
and the oppressed, all and all of us who have not forgotten the brutality of the
historical past, must drastically abstain from any attempt to develop fascism, whatever
the cause and whether it unfolds. We have to crush fascism in the whole social field in
which we move and live: in the streets, in the work, in the schools and in the schools, in
our neighborhoods.

It was a smashing day and we enjoyed the anarchist kitting circle f'sure, catching up with
old comrades and making some new ones. ---- We shifted every copy of Capitalism is Killing

free on the website) ---- A couple of our members presented talks and both seemed to go
well with some interesting dicussions afterwords. ---- Obviously there was a minor black
cloud as during the later half of the event Helen Steel and couple other Feminism
Appropriating Reactionary Transphobes staged a bit of a to do which was handled very well
by the organisers and hosts. ---- Not to worry tho, didn't spoil the day;p

"General Feminist Strike" on March 8th, 2019. As part of the mobilization a massive Women
In Struggle Conference (Encuentro Nacional de Mujeres que Luchan) is planned for this
