Best friends, Over 100 young girls in the United States have undergone a gruesome, medically unnecessary procedure that will leave them scarred for life. In these cases, several Michigan physicians performed a surgery called female genital mutilation. And it turns out, it's legal. Just recently, a judge ruled that a federal ban on female genital mutilation was unconstitutional. This is an outrage. But what's even more outrageous is that the doctors involved are still able to practice medicine. Female genital mutilation is a heinous act that is not ethical or in line with a doctor's Hippocratic Oath. That's why we need to make sure that the doctors who mutilated these girls never practice medicine again.
