FBI COMPLAINING IT WON’T BE ABLE TO SPY ON ACTIVISTS BECAUSE OF GOVT SHUTDOWN

FBI agents are complaining that the U.S. government shutdown is preventing them from paying informants and buying drugs in sting operations. The shutdown is even preventing the FBI from spying on activists and funding undercover operations to infiltrate potentially subversive social and political organizations.
The shutdown began on Dec. 22 when a proposed government funding bill was rejected by president Trump because it did not meet his demand for funding more wall building on the US-Mexico border.
Both political parties have stuck to their positions, leaving no end in sight for the shutdown. Most of the FBI’s 13,000 special agents still have to report to work, but they are not being paid. Several agents have said with dwindling operational resources it is making it impossible to keep funding their operations against activists. One bureau reported running out of replacement tires for vehicles and copy paper.
